People have become reliant on services and retailers to live. Without them, a majority would die.

2020-12-28 16:15:25 UTC

E.g: Someone harms your wife. You'd want to seriously harm them. Someone kills someone in another country in an unjustified way. You feel bad, doesn't mean you don't care (kinda the opposite!) it just means you'd care more about people harming people close to you.

2020-12-28 16:15:46 UTC

What's the real point here, though?

2020-12-28 16:15:49 UTC

Iran contra, guatemala, Libya

2020-12-28 16:16:03 UTC

Did you attack anyone over that?

2020-12-28 16:16:07 UTC

Attacks on US soil would make Americans very, very angry. They must be more subtle.

2020-12-28 16:16:22 UTC

This is absolutely true...

2020-12-28 16:16:29 UTC

This is my point.

2020-12-28 16:16:35 UTC

It's the reason I joined in the first place, the attack on the Trade Centers.

2020-12-28 16:17:26 UTC

Americans would literally overthrow their government if what happened in Iraq happened in the US in any small scale.

2020-12-28 16:17:44 UTC

We also have that right...

2020-12-28 16:17:46 UTC

Therefore the government can't just bomb Americans on American soil carte blanche.

2020-12-28 16:17:57 UTC

Of course not.

2020-12-28 16:18:07 UTC

But... Then again, even if they did.. Would we believe it was true?

2020-12-28 16:18:27 UTC

"The government would never do that"

2020-12-28 16:18:33 UTC

"This could never happen here"

2020-12-28 16:18:38 UTC

They would use subtle methods like hacking new vehicles and making you swerve off the road.

2020-12-28 16:18:44 UTC

Rather than drone striking you. lol

2020-12-28 16:19:05 UTC

I really do fear how interconnected everything is these days and how easy it is to make a bad day for someone.

2020-12-28 16:19:12 UTC

Using electronics

2020-12-28 16:19:30 UTC

They would not blow you up around a ton of witnesses in the middle of a ton of CCTVs.

2020-12-28 16:19:47 UTC

They have to use useful idiots and ignore them as they drive planes into towers to justify war

2020-12-28 16:19:55 UTC

oh boy

2020-12-28 16:20:07 UTC

Here we go

2020-12-28 16:20:57 UTC

There are certain aspects of the 9/11 attack that don't make sense to me... But, I don't think that the hijackers were employed by the government.

2020-12-28 16:21:09 UTC

They weren't

2020-12-28 16:21:10 UTC

I don't believe it was an inside job.

2020-12-28 16:21:28 UTC

At all.

2020-12-28 16:21:39 UTC

It's easy just to entrap and let extremist do what they do

2020-12-28 16:24:20 UTC

They didn't justify the war (nor really engage in the war in a constitutional means) using 9/11. They used WMDs and fear-mongering.

2020-12-28 16:24:44 UTC

@Maw Did you serve in Iraq?

2020-12-28 16:24:47 UTC

They used 9/11 as a catalyst

2020-12-28 16:25:00 UTC

Both of which were kinda irrelevant because Vietnam opened up a can of worms that never should have been opened in terms of precedents.

2020-12-28 16:25:38 UTC

No, but many in my family did. I was a little too young at the time.

2020-12-28 16:25:52 UTC

It started when I was like 13.

2020-12-28 16:26:17 UTC

My brother was in the first wave of troops though.

2020-12-28 16:26:40 UTC

(He's like... 8-9 years older than me I think?)

2020-12-28 16:26:49 UTC

I was there in 2006-2007

2020-12-28 16:26:50 UTC

My oldest brother that is.

2020-12-28 16:27:30 UTC

We used israel blowing up a ship to get support for getting involved in a world war.

2020-12-28 16:27:43 UTC

?
