Oh i did, since my grandfathers i grew up with were both heavy nationalists (one was in the 1st SS Division "Adolf Hitler" and the other was in the 6th SS Division "Nord) i kinda grew up with grandpas telling me about german mythology, "heroes" (like Bismarck and Frederick the Great) etc.

So i'd say we Germans left a huge footprint and influence on you Amerikaner
