I've read cases that MSI had a tendency to not offer easy RMA

2018-08-12 16:34:54 UTC

In worst case I'll probably end up with no GPU for 2-3 weeks until they ship it back

2018-08-12 16:35:51 UTC

rip

2018-08-12 16:35:56 UTC

It could be possible that it's something as simple as a faulty thermal probe or something like that, and they just replace it outright. They didn't offer a loaner card in the meantime?

2018-08-12 16:36:13 UTC

Like I said I just applied that

2018-08-12 16:36:26 UTC

Maybe the temps ARE too high and it's just reporting them as lower?

2018-08-12 16:36:27 UTC

Lemme rephrase it

2018-08-12 16:36:48 UTC

Basically the process it as follow, fill in the form at website (retailer) -> turn in the package -> shit gets done

2018-08-12 16:36:57 UTC

I'm currently at stage 1, where I filled the form and waiting for their response

2018-08-12 16:37:00 UTC

<@473007453970235402> shut up you ladyboy piece of shit

2018-08-12 16:37:12 UTC

Post ladydick in <#189811441174446080> then gtfo

2018-08-12 16:37:58 UTC

And if MSI doesn't honor an RMA, would the original retailer offer a refund, or are you past that point?

2018-08-12 16:38:17 UTC

If they don't honor RMA, I'm going into UOKiK

2018-08-12 16:38:24 UTC

Which sides heavily with customer

2018-08-12 16:38:37 UTC

Is that Polish for "shooting up their office"?

2018-08-12 16:38:45 UTC

Going Postal

2018-08-12 16:39:08 UTC

`the office of Competition and Consumer Protection`

2018-08-12 16:41:33 UTC

I'd get it if it were a problem with it being dusty, sure, but I don't think that there could be such a heavy amount of dust in the GPU that close proximity compressed air blast would have trouble with

2018-08-12 16:42:28 UTC

Also if it were dusty then I'd see higher temps

2018-08-12 16:42:38 UTC

No

2018-08-12 16:44:44 UTC

If what Matt says would be true, aka incorrect sensor values then that should still count up for RMA right?

2018-08-12 16:48:17 UTC

Ohshit, that's true

2018-08-12 16:48:23 UTC

Have you tried a different PSU

2018-08-12 16:48:26 UTC

I don't expect a sudden powerloss tho

2018-08-12 16:48:50 UTC

`XFX Core TS 550W`

2018-08-12 16:49:06 UTC

Only SSD I think?

2018-08-12 16:49:41 UTC

does PSU make any new noises, like whining or clicking?

2018-08-12 16:49:44 UTC

Nope

2018-08-12 16:49:46 UTC

That's pretty how much it first looked like when I moved out

2018-08-12 16:50:35 UTC

@porco same. All I brought with me to my first apartment was a dresser, my TV, a laptop, and a garbage bag full of clothes

2018-08-12 16:50:43 UTC

And I didn't move out till 21

2018-08-12 16:52:57 UTC

Pro tip, if you're just starting out on your own, don't move the southernmost part of your country all the way to the northernmost

2018-08-12 16:53:21 UTC

Because having nobody to help you when you need it is fucking shiiiiiiiitty

2018-08-12 16:56:41 UTC

I moved out when I was 18

2018-08-12 16:57:02 UTC

I slept on the floor for about a year

2018-08-12 16:57:18 UTC

Yes but it's pretty fast with the HSR

2018-08-12 16:57:24 UTC

Are you going to Kaohsiung?

2018-08-12 16:58:30 UTC

<@473007453970235402> are you Taiwanese or just a tourist?

2018-08-12 16:58:32 UTC

According to PCPartPicker it should only use around 333W

2018-08-12 16:58:39 UTC

So that's around 220W left
