I've been working on my local Republican's campaign for the past few months/canvassing/door knocking but he supports DREAMers and he brags about it. When ppl complained, he doubled down. I'm getting a letter of recommendation out of all this but I honestly don't like him after all this time I put in. Should we support GOP candidates even when they cuck like this?

@AaronCummings Id say given the situation, yes. We have to get as many repubs in office as possible this time, cuckservatives wont fuck things up, but they also wont fix anything whereas dems will try to fuck things up(from our perspectives), any other year id say no but this time we got too much at stake.
But in literally ANY OTHER SITUATION I would say no we shouldnt

The GOP is a simple apparatus, a tool we can utilize. We shouldn't centre our lives and political aspirations around the GOP, but being involved politically is a massive benefit. Trying to co-opt a significant portion of the system can't hurt either, but make sure the system doesnt change you.
Otherwise, moving up the ladder and gaining political and financial capital, is a good thing. We need more people on the inside in this manner.
That's basically how I feel too. And if he wins, I get an extra boost on my resume for working with a winning candidate. So, I know I gotta hold back but I agree it's better than a Dem

One of the big thing that need to be done is getting dems out of any power whatsoever, so any repub that is in a seat is one less dem that will be against trump
He also said he "stood up to the GOP and demanded more immigration"
He did ads saying former Dems like him, DREAMers like him... pandering to everyone except his base
I hate the fact that they assume we'll vote for them and take it for granted

I think if young ppl are vocal on social media like what happened to Madison Cawthorn, that can wake up Republicans running to pander more to us than others

Went to my college's college Republicans meeting this week and within 20 min they talked about how Ben Shapiro and Steven Crowder are "awesome conservatives" and also how non-whites are getting "red pilled" about how socialism doesn't work.
Needless to say, I cringed my pants.
I'm getting more involved and hopefully I'll have enough pull in about a year to start an America First Republicans chapter. There's a sizeable Republican population on campus. The leaders are kinda neo-con tho from what I've seen do far
