Just season up like 10 layers and it's smooth anyways
idk what the success rate is for most but it took me a few tries to even understand what good seasoning was
there's... a lot of bad knowledge out there
Yea
The trick is using an oil with a low smoking point
But obv being able to do it in an oven is a bonus
I got a basically chinkshit wok that can't go in the oven
It was a bitch to season on the stovs
Stove*
well actually for woks you want thin carbon steel
cause you want it to heat up fast
You still season thin carbon steel
yea
Source: this wok is thin carbon steel
i don't think you need an oven
Not that thin tho. Like 14gauge
it's really thin compared to any cast iron lol
Oven is easier cuz set it and forget it
i guess
And the burn your house down
hey since you seem to know stuff... is there a good chink shit manufacturer of quality borosilicate glass tupperware
or does shipping basically kill that stuff
the best i've seen is some amazon dealie
i mentioned vonshef but they only seem to sell the stupid set
i want like, 10x 3-cup rectangles for making meals in one shot during the weekend
fuck spending $150+ for pyrex
Dunno I got muh full pyrex set at like goodwill red tagged from target
With lids and everything, new in box
For like $15
u too pro
i should check thrifts
lots of old people dying with good shit
No 10x 3 cup rectangles tho
Basically like the mixed set of one of each
Maybe two of the circles of each size
i hate mixed
Then some rectangles and squares
All with the nice red rubber lids
i already have a bunch of random containers and it sucks for meal planning
Ya fur sure I don't do much meal planning
