@sigruna14 I can assure you, they have a distinct odor. My best friend was black ( he died on a motorcycle last year ). I spent nights over at his house, it’s especially distinct in their rooms. The two black guys I work with have the same exact odor. You may just not be sensitive to it.

2019-02-03 16:49:45 UTC

@DaddyPaddy - FL Sincerely sorry about your friend. That is an awful way to go. Condolences to you and his family.

He loved that bike so he died doing what he loved. He was a great guy, one of the best I knew. A real outlier, probably one of the only close black friends I had. He was black on his dads side (his dad was 83 when my friend died) and very “Native American” on his mom’s side. His dad was an engineer that worked on the triton missile systems, certainly an outlier. He also was a great man.

@Papa Pizzagate I don't know if retiring someone over his get-up would be a win for progressivism. That stuff has been out of favor since before 1984 so it would be more of a win for anarchotyranny which is usually the same thing but not in this instance. The best thing for the Dems would be for them to assert their special status. I thought Franken was going to get away with it and thereby flex on R politicos from staff intern to POTUS but Gilibrand turned on him (and now she is paying for that).

The best thing that could happen is Rs ride the outrage and get him to retire over his abortion claims but they don't see themselves as having the power to do that.

@DaddyPaddy - FL I'm really sorry to hear about your friend man. My condolences. However, as Ian pointed out, probably best not to be discussing racial smells in here. I mean imagine a new pledge logs in and that's the first thing they see, you know? Not that it's not mildly interesting in an intellectual way, but we don't wanna look weird.

2019-02-03 17:16:37 UTC

First impressions and all, you understand.

2019-02-03 17:17:14 UTC

I could see that

2019-02-03 17:28:34 UTC

So we need a channel for smells?

2019-02-03 17:29:01 UTC

I mean that's kinda weird but alright I guess. I'll be respectful in the smell chat

2019-02-03 17:33:22 UTC

@Current Ronin No we just need to not talk about it in here. I mean, you tell me. Put yourself in my place. Your job is to maintain the decorum of this server. Do you think it's weirder to ask people not to talk about how other races smell, or to have a brand new IE member log in and have that be the first thing they see?

2019-02-03 17:34:02 UTC

No I'm just kidding haha I honestly have no interest it's kinda of an odd topic tbh

2019-02-03 17:34:09 UTC

Okay.

2019-02-03 17:34:16 UTC

@@sigruna14 I chose the wrong time to look at chat... 😂

2019-02-03 17:34:23 UTC

@Ian Exactly.

2019-02-03 17:34:45 UTC

There are certain things that don't exactly break any rules but just... come on.

2019-02-03 17:34:50 UTC

I'm sure everybody can understand that.

2019-02-03 17:35:08 UTC

Definitely not the most pleasant topic haha

2019-02-03 17:36:16 UTC

So how about them super bowl predictions? Hm.

2019-02-03 17:36:43 UTC

Go pats! Win the sports ball!

2019-02-03 17:36:43 UTC

LA is a madhouse today over the Rams.

2019-02-03 17:37:22 UTC

They’ve turned it into an La vs white America sort of thing

2019-02-03 17:37:25 UTC

@Ian I'll be tuning in for the anti-White ads.

2019-02-03 17:37:26 UTC

It’s so weird

2019-02-03 17:37:51 UTC

@Logan omg totes can't wait to be told how terrible I am haha

2019-02-03 17:39:04 UTC

Tom Hanks is doing a PSA to explain how important the MSM is

2019-02-03 17:39:21 UTC

Companies spend millions of dollars on virtue signalling super bowl ads while people can't afford basic health care. Amaze.

2019-02-03 17:39:34 UTC

I might get the obsession with sportsball if the people were actually from my town. But they're not. They don't represent me racially, geographically - in any way. It's just a giant corporate megastructure designed to exploit natural human tribalism to convince people the team represents them so the industry can make money. In actuality, they don't represent you at all.

2019-02-03 17:40:33 UTC

@sigruna14 if we lived in a polite white society I would be a huge foot ball fan. Not gonna lie

2019-02-03 17:41:02 UTC

I would only if you had to be from the city whose team you play on. Otherwise who cares.

2019-02-03 17:41:17 UTC

@Current Ronin diversity training makes people more likely to think of themselves as White

2019-02-03 17:41:19 UTC
2019-02-03 17:41:24 UTC

Yeah absolutely. It's all people that actually grew up there

2019-02-03 17:44:09 UTC

@sigruna14 Unfortunately I agree. I decided to actually just work this year. The NFL alienated me years ago.

2019-02-03 17:44:28 UTC

@sigruna14 the way people pick teams in other cities reminds me of mood rings, astrology, and Myers Briggs testing. "Oooh the Seahawks are tooottallly me. Did you see the way Lanquavious absolutely *demolished* their defense. Sooo mee." I won't link the Sam Hyde "sports and gambling video" because it gets pretty gross but he sums it up well.

2019-02-03 17:44:34 UTC

The NFL is so repulsive dude...

2019-02-03 17:45:28 UTC

Football as a sport is super fun. When I was a kid me and the other kids in the neighborhood would play tackle football in the abandoned golf course and it was rad haha

2019-02-03 17:46:29 UTC

"groups afterward.”

The problem is not with the programs themselves. They make a strong case for valuing differences—not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it leads to much higher levels of performance. Inclusive companies have a demonstrated advantage, both in financial performance and in general levels of innovation, and being around others from different backgrounds has been shown to make people more creative and hardworking. Drawing on multiple perspectives leads teams to see a greater number of solutions to problems. The training itself is increasingly well-designed, sound in its messages, and convincing in its delivery.

Why, then, does it spark a backlash?"

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say diverse companies perform better because White people don't want to be the least-hard working individual in racial mixed-company.

2019-02-03 17:46:53 UTC

But probably they don't perform better. I'd like to see the data showing people with less in common get along better.

2019-02-03 17:47:42 UTC

It's nonsensical. I grew up in a totally mixed area and highschool was a disaster. Everyone segregated themselves like a prison

2019-02-03 17:49:21 UTC

I couldn't even imagine what it's like in a corporate setting with all these weird social rules. It must be torture

2019-02-03 17:50:14 UTC

If you're white I mean. If you're a mixed race non gender confirming Muslim women of color it's smooth sailing haha
