he said he went over a speed bump at 25kmh
and his passenger (one of the event dudes) hit his head on the ceiling
Hahaha
Looks fun to zip around in
also lol
one thing I will give to the Zoe, though - it had proper EV tyres
which meant that even at 100km/h, you barely heard road noise
whereas the Kia eNiro was equipped with "normal" tyres, and even at 90 already you could hear the tire "whizzing"
Yeah that's one of the selling point of the Zoé, the whole "no noise inside" shit
on a highway it began to be annoying
but IMO you can really fix most of that with better tyres
But in all honesty though, right now it's still not that much interesting for me to buy an EV
Even second hand
this was fun too, a public beta test of Skoda Citigo EV
I had to sign an NDA to drive this lmao
suck my fucking balls, Skoda
I calculated an ROI (against a similar fuel operated vehicle) of like 5+ years
Never heard of this one, is it any good?
I'm gonna report u to skoda
back when I tested it, it was still unreleased officially and this was one of the like 6 cars produced for testing with companies who could potentially be customers
but as a city-shitbox or a pizza delivery vehicle it would work extremely well
sadly the pricing is way too high imo
.
Škoda, a Czech automaker owned by Volkswagen, has unveiled today the Citigo iV, an all-electric city car that is expected to cost **less than $20,000.**
.
265 km (165 miles) on the WLTP cycle is expected to result in roughly 200 km (125 miles) of real-world range.
way too much for what it offers, IMO
The charging capacity is limited to 40 kW on a DC fast charger and it’s equipped with a 7.2 kW onboard charger.
Well if it can be less than 20k Euromarks here in France it's gonna be a real contender for the Zoé
not with the range imo
IF
IF ONLY Skoda would've been able to price it under 15k for the base model
and they could've upped the range a bit
it would be great
Well the Zoé is better but also way more expensive
And for people like me with a kinda short commute, even 150 (real) km of range is ok
And a lot of people here have that kind of commute length
@Matthew go on I dare you, the NDA was only related to talking about driving characteristics and interior design (hint: they literally ripped off the Volkswagen e-Up!, both in drivetrain and interior design)
Around big cities I mean
the final release is a bit different in interior design iirc
not even journalists could drive the skoda
everyone else except for Skoda and Audi at this event were like "well yeah, hop in and drive wherever you want"
