in AU they've started charging 10% tax for international purchases and it's up to the vendor to charge it
Based superbuy don't charge it so Taobao is all G but eBay and Ali got right on board
First of all, how dare you imply that Aussie-cuckdom will come here
Hey we're not the ones in a trade war with the chinks
🇮🇱
I've never understood, how are states able to enforce having Chinese companies enforce state taxes?
They generally don't unless the goods are warehoused here
@Droidbot You missed some letters there, friend. You MEANT to say "Hey We're not the ones **W** in **ning** a trade war with the chinks"
@timsandtoms AU is doing it as part of a "you pay the taxes and we don't fuck your local presence up" thing
No idea how states would convince them
>being afraid of aussies
LOL
being in the army is awesome, you can get a pension
Dear, I work for a military hospital, being in the military is decidedly not awesome.
Overheard a dude today say he's been cooped up in the hospital for 5 months now waiting for them to perform a leg amputation (diabetes), and they tried to tell him today they were pushing it back another month
ive been playing earth defense force 5 some of your soldiers say that
he was like "Just chop the fucking leg off so I can go home, what the fuck"
5 months omg
That's fucking awful and all, but also
>Convincing the government that your diabetes was service-connected
i thought those hospitals were for vets with any issues
Once you get to a certain threshold, yeah.
diabetes can be genetic too
You have to be "service connected", and some of that is a point-system
Muh PTSD gave me Sleep Apnea so I became depressed and gained weight and now I have Diabetes <:sadmitu:331056421342806026>
plz gib gibs
That really isn't typical, though. Most people there are great and don't game the system any more than they have to
and they have to, since just like any insurance/medical thing, they'll do anything they possibly can to avoid paying out
How can you be 100% disabled
That's fucking dead
No, you mong, it means you're disabled to the point that having meaningful employment is 100% impossible
So dead
<:shiggy:587729624323194896>
>If you can't work, you might as well just die!
Real jew-thrall hours
Capitalism, ho!
But like I said, it's a points system. You don't have to be a quadruple amputee with blindness to be 100%.
It can be a combination of less serious things.
Lost an arm + PTSD + minor hearing loss + chronic pain
