Linux only 👌 perfect

2019-03-12 22:48:43 UTC

mmmh PSVR is still cheaper

2019-03-12 22:48:56 UTC

maybe getting a PSVR is the best option

2019-03-12 22:49:34 UTC

What's the resolution?

2019-03-12 22:50:18 UTC

I don't know anything about that one. Is it the same type of thing?

2019-03-12 22:53:27 UTC

VR is fucking amazing and you'll regret skimping. Not knowing anything about PSVR, my concerns would be if the display is good enough to not really have the screen door effect, if controller tracking is good, and if the controllers have the same functions as other VR devices. Don't wanna not have the button games use to shoot with.

2019-03-12 22:56:09 UTC

mmh yeah I don't know about psvr controllers (playstation move)

2019-03-12 22:56:21 UTC

and I should check all these headsets resolutions

2019-03-12 22:58:24 UTC

mmh psvr is 960x1080 per eye

2019-03-12 23:03:37 UTC

Doesn't psvr do frame interpolation

2019-03-12 23:08:32 UTC

I think WMR is 1440x1440 per eye

2019-03-12 23:08:45 UTC

More on Samsung's

2019-03-12 23:11:30 UTC

Unless PSVR is a REALLY good deal, I'd pass and get something nicer, something that's designed for PC instead of trying to add support for a console accessory to a relatively new field.

2019-03-12 23:53:05 UTC

just get WMR

2019-03-12 23:53:16 UTC

@Goz3rr renders at 60fps normally -> 120hz (tho a dev got his game working at 120fps native so it's doable)

2019-03-13 00:00:13 UTC

WMR is 90fps.

2019-03-13 00:19:27 UTC

i mean psvr

2019-03-13 00:19:42 UTC

oh okay

2019-03-13 00:19:45 UTC

thanks

I have an Acer WMR and have tried the Vive a lot as well (friend had one for a while). He has also used my WMR a lot and has an oculus now. Vive is much less comfortable than the Acer and has noticeably worse pixel density but the screen and tracking are both better overall. However Vive needs an entire room empty to work. My friend says the oculus is similar to the vive but a little bit worse and also requires a lot of empty space. WMR requires literally nothing as far as space goes and I play some games sitting at my desk normally. Overall if you have the money and space a Vive is worth it but for comfort, value, and functionality in tight spaces, WMR really is nice. I've heard that the Acer is the most comfortable one overall but have not tried other WMR but agree it is at least much more comfortable than the Vive

2019-03-13 00:38:13 UTC

I'd agree with that, the Acer vs Vive bit. There's some other kind of strap for the Vive that's supposed to be better, but it's like $100

2019-03-13 01:56:00 UTC

vive >>> dell visor for me as someone who owns both

2019-03-13 01:56:13 UTC

vive comfort goes from like a 4 to a 8 with DAS though

2019-03-13 01:56:16 UTC

its like a mandatory buy tbh

2019-03-13 03:02:42 UTC

i never tried the Vive but I got a WMR

2019-03-13 03:02:51 UTC

would like one for the more accurate tracking though

2019-03-13 03:10:29 UTC

How are those xaomi airdots?

2019-03-13 03:26:38 UTC

get airpods

2019-03-13 03:26:43 UTC

you dont wanna be poor

2019-03-13 03:27:03 UTC

But you will be poor if you buy airpods.

2019-03-13 03:27:28 UTC

You buy airpods so you don't LOOK like you're poor

2019-03-13 03:27:57 UTC

pff

2019-03-13 03:28:17 UTC

only buy airpods if you're rich

2019-03-13 03:28:24 UTC

otherwise airdots are fine but they arent great

2019-03-13 03:28:32 UTC

a lot of people say the i10 IWS are far better than it

2019-03-13 03:28:36 UTC

though slightly pricier

2019-03-13 03:57:32 UTC

Airpods are those colorful candies in the soap aisle right

2019-03-13 03:57:52 UTC

And airdots are icecream from the zoo?

2019-03-13 03:59:49 UTC

no airdots are these
