alright but how often do you actually make phonecalls
he wants to use the keypad on the phone
but jsut have it talk to his cell to make the connection
It's more of an exercise on designing a good looking PCB
it seems like you are jsut making it less convienient
to call people
The use case would be me leaving the smartphone charging in another room away from my desk, and answering/placing phone calls via the modded beocom
is this jsut a convoluted scheme to get you to stop playing candy crush all day?
this sounds like an overengineered solution to a non-existant problem
just bring the charger in the same room as you
@Billy Yum Yum Two-By-Two more or less, yeah
or use a bluetooth speaker
but jokes aside, I really want to do something with that phone other than collecting dust, and since we don't even have a POTS line, I thought to give this idea a shot
you could always just throw it in the garbage
it wont collect dust if its melted down into a soda bottle
😦
uhh
discord converts emoticons into emojis nice
there's an option to disable that ;)
Some trash is just trash, dear
its a neat looking phone but i dont think its worth the effort to make a negatively useful item like you are planning
I know, but still...
(A) let go
Anyway, I found this module (BK8000L) which would make for a great candidate, but has no AT command to call a user defined number
sounds like its actually a poor candidate then
This whole idea is retarded but I wish you luck in your evdevor
innovation is just applied autism
If you ever actually make it please let me know
@Magnets nice. They didn't even trim the leads in the bottom of the board. Get what you pay for I suppose.
👌
😍
if only i could read chinknese
>To make the charger feel more substantial it has a added weight inside the enclosure. It adds about 4.9g
Reminds me of the sand power banks
lol
hmm
I have made 400 orders since I made an Aliexpress account 2 years ago
