That’s compliments of @zodiark I just reposted it for him. 😃

Good question 👍

2019-07-06 23:37:22 UTC

@mineyful The problem is that we'd have to know the distance to the sun, which is a huge problem. Who can calculate the distance to the sun? Be honest

isn't that a correlation versus causation argument

what is orbiting

2019-07-06 23:39:43 UTC

you mean circumnavigating the north pole?

2019-07-06 23:40:02 UTC

earth is not moving

2019-07-06 23:41:37 UTC

Lol wait in the globe model you are saying that the sun is moving?

2019-07-06 23:42:11 UTC

Lol

2019-07-06 23:44:10 UTC

can you explain the hotspots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GMcMTV_prc

2019-07-06 23:44:42 UTC

@mineyful It is evident that at sunrise, and at sunset, the sun's light must shine through a greater length of atmospheric air than at mid-day; besides which, the air near the earth is both more dense, and holds more watery particles in solution, than the higher strata through which the sun shines at noonday; and hence the light must be dilated or magnified, as well as modified in color. So the Sun as it sets towards the horizon, from a viewer's perspective on Earth, simultaneously gets bigger due to the reason given above, AND smaller due to the law of perspective. The net result is what you see. The amount/degree to which the Sun/Moon will be magnified due to contributing factors (wavelength, diffraction, air pressure, air temperature, width of aperature, altitude, humidity, visibility) and shrink due to perspective.

2019-07-06 23:47:21 UTC

wait are you for the globe

2019-07-06 23:47:30 UTC

When the sun is higher in the sky? I thought you were a glober, the sun is supposed to be the center of the Universe

2019-07-06 23:47:37 UTC

ah alright

2019-07-06 23:48:40 UTC

wait so do you think the sun is moving?

2019-07-06 23:49:02 UTC

lol oh is that the frame of reference argument

2019-07-06 23:49:07 UTC

What’s making us move ?

2019-07-06 23:49:42 UTC

can you demonstrate diagonal upwards attraction

2019-07-06 23:49:47 UTC

OMG you can’t observe gravity

2019-07-06 23:58:14 UTC

ever tried joining the vc @mineyful

2019-07-07 00:19:25 UTC

lol why did he delete his explanation
