Have any of you ever seen a ship sail off into the sea?

2019-07-13 13:40:27 UTC

is the earth convex or something? how is it that you see the backs of the ships disappear first? as if its going downward?

2019-07-13 13:49:03 UTC

As far as I can tell they just claim that’s not true

2019-07-13 13:53:57 UTC

i've seen it happen. i sailed from florida to mexico

2019-07-13 14:01:43 UTC

Apparently it goes away in a telescope

2019-07-13 14:02:29 UTC

im talking about the naked human eye

2019-07-13 14:02:30 UTC

Which is interesting because there is not really any evidence to back that up, and I’m guessing most of the people who say that ha e never tried it

2019-07-13 14:03:04 UTC

No apparently it coming back in a telescope proves the earth is flat

2019-07-13 14:04:46 UTC

either that is so scientifically complicated that i cannot understand it, or, its just to dang dumb.

2019-07-13 14:06:06 UTC

so the WARPED image from the telescope and ONLY when its coming BACK when its going the complete OPPOSITE direction proves it.

2019-07-13 14:06:14 UTC

who comes up with this stuff?

2019-07-13 14:06:24 UTC

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2019-07-13 14:08:42 UTC

America isn’t real

2019-07-13 17:02:44 UTC

agreed

2019-07-13 21:31:29 UTC

Nope nothing about American History is valid.

Optical slant

2019-07-14 00:15:01 UTC

Angular resolution

2019-07-14 00:15:50 UTC

If you are closer to the bottom of an object, it will disappear first as the object or you move further away

2019-07-14 00:16:20 UTC

The angle is more shallow the closer you are to the bottom

2019-07-14 00:17:48 UTC

As you move away further from a mountain, the angle between you and the bottom of the mountain is more shallow,.therefore the angular resolution of the eye or lens will decrease faster than the angle between you and the top of the mountain

2019-07-14 00:18:47 UTC

Once the angular resolution hits a certain degree, the eye or lens will stop resolving that part

2019-07-14 00:19:04 UTC

That part will turn into a line

2019-07-14 00:19:09 UTC

The horizon

2019-07-14 00:19:53 UTC

That line is the ground infront of you starting to blend with the background

2019-07-14 00:20:50 UTC

On the ocean, the surface of water and bottom of boat will start to blend together first before the top of the boat and the sky

2019-07-14 00:21:03 UTC

The sky is on a steeper angle than the water

2019-07-14 02:18:40 UTC

We see the flat earth. Pathagrams theory is enough to compute the curve we should see. But it is not there.

2019-07-14 02:20:06 UTC

Say that triangle top angle were the center of the earth. B is the radius and a the distance. Thus C would be the radius plus the supposed curve.

2019-07-14 02:20:54 UTC

When you do the math you confirm. Multiply 0.666 times the distance squared. That gives the curve you should see.

2019-07-14 02:21:10 UTC

It works up to around 300 miles.

2019-07-14 02:21:26 UTC

A squared plus b squared should equal c squared

2019-07-14 02:21:44 UTC

But it doesnt

2019-07-14 02:21:45 UTC

This is in feet. Use 8 instead of 0.666 for inches.

2019-07-14 02:21:48 UTC

Not on earth

2019-07-14 02:22:44 UTC

Square b the radius. Square a the distance. Add together. Take the square root and then subtract the radius and then multiply to get the feet of the curve.

2019-07-14 02:22:55 UTC

Because it will give you the curve in miles.

2019-07-14 02:23:34 UTC

Why would that not work on earth. It is still a triangle just a very big one.
