2019-05-11 19:58:18 UTC

does it matter?

2019-05-11 19:58:29 UTC

i can see the corners of the flat earth in that video πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

2019-05-11 19:58:31 UTC

Fisheye lenz showing curve doesn't show actual horizon, just distortion

2019-05-11 19:58:45 UTC

yeah i thought you were gonna say that

2019-05-11 19:59:43 UTC

kinda weird how nothing in the end of the video was curved either

2019-05-11 19:59:46 UTC

You never really see that much curve from high altitude balloons, and they can only go so high.
Tho I reckon variables with the camera view might affect apparent curve.

That video is what @Deleted User asked for one time

2019-05-11 20:00:12 UTC

Chris wanted a go pro

2019-05-11 20:00:30 UTC

I didn't know that video existed but tbh it didn't go high enough!

2019-05-11 20:01:43 UTC

This puts down my thoughts on it quite well

@cocobanana show me the curvature formula and tell me it doesnt go high enough

2019-05-11 20:04:06 UTC

This is part of why I don't focus on high altitude photos and footage anyways
*"The high-elevation horizon is almost as sharp as the sea-level horizon, but its contrast is less than 10% that of the sea-level horizon. Photographs purporting to show the curvature of the Earth are always suspect because virtually all camera lenses project an image that suffers from barrel distortion. "*

2019-05-11 20:05:38 UTC

@Deleted User did you watch the video that @Deleted User posted

2019-05-11 20:05:44 UTC

Isn't that what you were asking for the

2019-05-11 20:05:47 UTC

One day

2019-05-11 20:06:32 UTC

lol

2019-05-11 20:06:40 UTC

why doesnt it look directly at the horizon?

2019-05-11 20:06:56 UTC

No don't get it twisted, I'm on your side

2019-05-11 20:07:00 UTC

I just wanted to show you

2019-05-11 20:07:03 UTC

This type of video

2019-05-11 20:07:06 UTC

Does exist

2019-05-11 20:07:20 UTC

its deceptive

2019-05-11 20:07:47 UTC

Yeah

ecks dee

2019-05-11 20:21:18 UTC

okay can I say a thing about antivaxx people?

go ahead

2019-05-11 20:23:44 UTC

one argument I see from them is the fact that some vaccines contain aluminum and mercury which are both dangerous

2019-05-11 20:23:55 UTC

but they're dangerous when on their own

2019-05-11 20:24:35 UTC

its like saying "sodium explodes in water and chlorine is extremely poisonous so putting them together is dangerous" when it literally just makes sodium chloride aka salt

2019-05-11 20:26:08 UTC

Mercury's dangerous by itself lol

wardle, you are right

anti vaxxers dont actually understand physics and chemistry enough to understand that dangerous stuff can be helpful

2019-05-11 20:28:25 UTC

yeah like if anti-vaxxers were that concerned about like putting bacteria or viruses into their kids via vaccines then you'd think they'd be against cheese
because a lot of cheese is made via the help of bacteria

2019-05-11 20:33:42 UTC

<:CHECK6:403540120181145611> @WARDLE has been warned
```
reason: Bad word usage
```

2019-05-11 20:34:13 UTC

.... I didn't contain any bad words?

2019-05-11 20:34:21 UTC

Dunno
