i actually have people tell me they can see a boat disappear with the naked eye then use a telescope or zoom camera and the boat is still disappeared

they either have the best eyesight in the history of eyes or they need a new camera or telescope

they have to say that otherwise when they were watching boats go over the curve thousands of years ago it proves nothing to the shape of the earth just like eratosthenes

idk how u can see a boat going over the horizon 3 miles away from u but a person 90 degrees on the side of u can be elevated and not see the boat going over a curve anywhere
