If you have a really strong laser, will it go around the world and come back to you? Or will it bounce out of the world and be directed in to the space?
The scientific method is hypothesis driven, you have a hypothesis: Light curves down in air. You have a null hypothesis of Light curves up in air.
The null hypothesis is true, so the main hypothesis (which has no proof) is not.
So the science shows light curves up in air with zero evidence to say otherwise.

@Human Sheeple Well, no, because refraction is not binary, it's just the divergence of the pathway of light when travelling trough a medium.
Earth bends spacetime very less for that to happen, though. That could happen if you stood right on the event horizon of a Black Hole.
So, ya, it would escape into space unless it is absorbed by something on it's path.
