Their excuse would be, “well it’s the closest we have.” When in actuality, that ‘closest thing’ requires earth to be a ball, when we never observe that in real life. (It literally requires the shape of our terrestrial reality to change to suit their need to explain the celestial.)

As I said. I already cited the requirements of the scientific method - the method that determines proof. Observation, measurement, and experiment. Flat earth passes all of these steps. Meaning Flat earth isn’t a theory. It’s verified.

Ball earth doesn’t pass any of it. Meaning Ball earth is a Theory.

All we observe in real life, is a Flat earth. All we ever measure in real life, is Zero curvature. All we can experiment with in real life where water always seeks to find and maintain it’s level, is on a Flat earth.

Ball earth does none of these things.

We rely on our observations to make judgement if we observe a flat earth than we can assume we have a flat earth
