In her bedazzled 90s denim backpack, various dissident volumes can be found along with her trapper keeper

2019-02-26 08:07:34 UTC

The dreaded ginger brother is antifa

2019-02-26 08:09:23 UTC

After school she explains that she can make food from "all over the world right here in my own kitchen" and that she doesn't need them coming here

2019-02-26 08:10:10 UTC

Hmm, a dude could do one like the Wonder Years

2019-02-26 08:12:11 UTC

Yeah Wonder Years was 80s/90s produced boomer bait about the mid/late 60s, right?

2019-02-26 08:13:25 UTC

Yep, great era to deconstruct

2019-02-26 08:14:07 UTC

Irony intended

2019-02-26 08:16:26 UTC

Re-tell those years through our lens

2019-02-26 08:21:11 UTC

we are farther from the last airing of that show than it was from the depicted time period.<:boomer:548295778788048918>

2019-02-26 08:23:23 UTC

*slow sip*

2019-02-26 08:27:02 UTC

Detroit riots, Rhodesian Bush War, the Weathermen and SDS. Lots of stuff that never gets talked about.

Also: Fuck Woodstock. A depiction of Woodstock as crappy would be worth a movie ticket

2019-02-26 08:27:40 UTC

Oh and the space program being protested by non-whites.

2019-02-26 08:28:07 UTC

The left calling Nam vets "baby killers" while advocating for abortion for an entire decade

2019-02-26 08:28:37 UTC

The left doesn't talk about that stuff bc it makes them look like garbage

2019-02-26 08:29:34 UTC

The Weather Underground was a big deal, yet they brush it under the rug

2019-02-26 08:30:22 UTC

I think a major motif would be television and the press doing the memory holing. As media was much more monopolistic then. Three channels.

2019-02-26 08:30:36 UTC

Four, I guess if you count PBS

2019-02-26 08:30:51 UTC

FOX wasn't around until the 80s

2019-02-26 08:32:25 UTC

Now it's atleast 5(!!!) corporations owning all of them, maybe 7

2019-02-26 08:32:41 UTC

So, we've come a long way, lol

2019-02-26 09:00:53 UTC

Regarding the Indo-Paki troubles referenced above: Bye bye Pakistan! Hello Baluchistan, The Sindh and Khalistan. The mullahs will scatter to what is left of the NWFP and Paki admin'd Kashmir to form what will become the new, much smaller & more manageable (for India) Pakistan. Presto!

It may not happen as a result of THIS crisis... but stay tuned.

2019-02-26 12:07:13 UTC

Banners: broke. Signs: woke

2019-02-26 12:23:09 UTC

Fortunately, I still have a supply of signs waiting to be repurposed from when I was volunteering for my *favorite* candidate and forgot to put out his signs. Pitty he lost.

Hmmm.. Florida looks like a nose now that you mention it

2019-02-26 12:52:05 UTC

Why can't we just stay out of other countries, and mind our own business.

2019-02-26 12:55:49 UTC

Because we aren't in control of our country.

2019-02-26 13:04:42 UTC

Whaaaaat?

2019-02-26 13:13:42 UTC

Morning everyone

2019-02-26 13:15:32 UTC

How do I make money off of this though

2019-02-26 13:15:36 UTC

@BryceB-ND Morning!

2019-02-26 13:16:09 UTC

@Logan Invest in Colt or Binelli? Lockhead Martin'll prolly get some action...

2019-02-26 13:17:32 UTC

The refineries already exist. They probably won't use cruise missiles (although they should).

That rules out oil and weapons imo although investors may not see it that way. Could go in now and get out once the low info people buy on announcement of intervention.

2019-02-26 13:18:05 UTC

Heh. How naive of me. They will use the cruise missiles. @Bjorn - MD Lockheed it is. Or whoever makes them now.

2019-02-26 13:19:51 UTC

So tired of being the Jush Foreign Legion...

2019-02-26 13:22:42 UTC

I'm almost ready to take the Sven pill at this point, and just say to let them send our woke brown tranny army down there to get chewed up by Venezuelan 56% regulars, and Russian spetsnaz and contractors, but chances are, the Pentagon'll just cruise missile and drone the bejesus out of 'em.

2019-02-26 13:34:01 UTC

I don't see the Venezuelans fighting at all. Latin American countries don't put up much of a fight and we already have a parallel govt in place.

2019-02-26 13:37:49 UTC

It may be an Iraq-type scenario, wherein line units of conscripts will surrender en masse, but officers whose fate is intertwined with that of the regime will lead the more ideologically inclined units, particularly the Bolivarian Civil Guard, in combat operations, because they'll likely face at least lustration, if not criminal proceedings under a post-war settlement if Maduro's overthrown.

2019-02-26 13:40:45 UTC

...but there's also a long history of left-wing guerrilla movements down there (i.e. the FARC, ELN, etc.), so even though conventional combat operations may be a relatively short-lived affair, mop-up operations, if successful, could take decades. There's still a lot of youth down there who worship at the shrine of Che, and plenty of them would be anxious to head north for the opportunity to take a potshot at los Yankees.
