Christmas and winter bring back old ideals such as a family centered, God fearing communities and it brings people closer together. There is no other holiday as effective as Christmas because there are almost no other main holidays centered around Christ. Bringing the family together is one of the most important things that you can do. Although Christmas has its worse parts, we like to celebrate the good parts.

Growing up I had to participate in a Christmas special for church and I always hated it, learning the songs and practicing them over and over again. When I look at it now I'm glad that I was forced to do it because it kept me rooted in God's word and helped me with public speaking. While the play was corny it still has a special place in my mind.
