The richest person on earth has not been to 'space'

2019-10-07 14:55:46 UTC

So why do u believe anyone can??

2019-10-07 14:55:53 UTC

Guess not

2019-10-07 14:55:56 UTC

NASA say no one can leave low earth orbit

2019-10-07 14:56:03 UTC

Which is barely off the surfave of earth

2019-10-07 15:28:58 UTC

NASA says it's extremely hard to do

2019-10-07 15:43:13 UTC

Hundreds of people have been in space. @mjones

2019-10-07 15:43:26 UTC

fun video <:cool:507986727953235970>

2019-10-07 15:45:42 UTC

Anyway, you do understand that launching a rocket into low earth orbit can cost hundreds of millions of dollars, included with extremely dangerous conditions? It doesn't matter how much money I have, I wouldn't bother with a life-risking trip full of difficulty and uncomfortable quarters just for a view of the horizon, when I could just do that on a plane, or look at an image.

2019-10-07 16:12:11 UTC

Ok idk if its really a theory already but
Am i the only one who thinks we are actually mentally controlled by the government and some people didn't get controlled properly and realised it

2019-10-07 16:16:00 UTC

@French Lad (Tom/Prompto) there's no evidence of that

2019-10-07 16:16:23 UTC

I thought i saw it as a theory

2019-10-07 16:24:11 UTC

Misusing the word theory is a very common occurrence.

2019-10-07 16:26:29 UTC

Theories often have substantial evidence to prove something within reasonable doubt. A hypothesis is a claim based on observation that hasn't been tested. It then becomes a theory if, after testing and analysis, is consistent with generally accepted theories or observable evidence.

2019-10-07 16:27:51 UTC

Now, I wouldn't even call the idea of a 'mind controlling government' a hypothesis, because those require one to actually make a legitimate observation. There is no proof of this whatsoever, so it's more like a wild, outlandish claim with no basis.

2019-10-07 16:28:02 UTC

Yes. Observable evidence. Like no curvature.

2019-10-07 16:28:11 UTC

Get yout head out of your

2019-10-07 16:36:36 UTC

I mean it's not impossible to control people's mind

2019-10-07 16:37:26 UTC

But I doubt some people would be resistant to it

2019-10-07 17:54:43 UTC

*debates*

2019-10-07 18:08:40 UTC

there is a curvature

2019-10-07 18:08:45 UTC

but you have to be in the air to see it

2019-10-07 18:08:46 UTC

as in

2019-10-07 18:08:47 UTC

in a plane

2019-10-07 18:08:57 UTC

and really high up

2019-10-07 18:12:06 UTC

You can't see curvature even on a plane

2019-10-07 18:13:34 UTC

my uncle was a pilot he's never seen any curvature

2019-10-07 18:13:47 UTC

@rivenator12113 needs to be very very very high to see

2019-10-07 18:13:56 UTC

You could see on those concorde planes

2019-10-07 18:14:03 UTC

I think I am not sure

2019-10-07 19:55:37 UTC

if you're on the highest flying comercial airplane, and you, somehow, get to see everything in a 180° angle, the curvature'd be 'bout 16-18m

2019-10-07 19:55:48 UTC

2019-10-07 19:55:54 UTC

Oh come on

2019-10-07 19:56:53 UTC

Anyway i said idk if i saw the curvature of earth or not cuz my vision is really bad and i don't see perspective well

2019-10-07 19:57:15 UTC

from a plane window, maybe

2019-10-07 19:57:33 UTC

but you can barely see 18m of curvature that high

2019-10-07 19:57:37 UTC

or can you?

2019-10-07 19:57:52 UTC

vsauce, Michael here

2019-10-07 19:58:15 UTC

Hey sauce, vmichael here
