@Snack® In your image, when he addresses that 2 (atmospheric condition) wouldn't make it possible to see the image is false because water evaporation is also a factor and not all places have the same atmospheric condition. 3 would be false since we can observe the boat to be very long away and yet it should be beneath the curve which means no globe earth.
