Yeah I read somewhere that science came about from people questioning how God did it

2020-08-22 06:45:35 UTC

Im in alaska so it's still early here

2020-08-22 06:46:08 UTC

can i ask how old you are?

2020-08-22 06:46:16 UTC

48

2020-08-22 06:47:01 UTC

And I come here to talk because Travis has a pretty open mind and he's not super mean when criticizing

2020-08-22 06:47:42 UTC

Plus I hold a pretty uncommon belief and there aren't many places I can go to discuss it

2020-08-22 06:47:45 UTC

good not that old then. i always thought to myself id never want to tell an older person god doesnt exist becuase of the whole death thing lol. but you still have alot of life to live

2020-08-22 06:48:13 UTC

yeah I'm still good. I got a lot of time

2020-08-22 06:48:41 UTC

But cool talking to you and I will keep searching for the truth

2020-08-23 04:33:19 UTC

such a bad argument

2020-08-23 04:50:41 UTC

QUESTION - What would be the implications on the evolution theory should one prove that a global flood did occur?

2020-08-23 04:50:59 UTC

Very little

2020-08-23 04:51:09 UTC

Wdym by implications

2020-08-23 04:51:17 UTC

Depends on when

2020-08-23 04:52:16 UTC

@Delta Say as described in the bible

2020-08-23 04:54:32 UTC

@kaizen How would that proof effect the science

2020-08-23 04:57:06 UTC

I'm not sure there are any. What exactly does a "global flood as described in the bible" have anything to do with evolution or the way that it behaves?

2020-08-23 04:59:17 UTC

Using the bible as your proof of any such event isn't proof at all. There are many books out there with many different stories by many different authors, does that mean that every book ever written was true? Did Harry really fly in a field knocking around a magic wizard ball? Most likely not.

2020-08-23 04:59:34 UTC

Wouldn't the evolution process reset?

2020-08-23 04:59:55 UTC

I see where you are coming from.

2020-08-23 05:00:00 UTC

Yes

2020-08-23 05:00:16 UTC

It depends on how many species are wiped out

2020-08-23 05:00:26 UTC

And if it alters the environment

2020-08-23 05:00:35 UTC

But there would be new organisms

2020-08-23 05:01:00 UTC

I would assume all would be gone. Unlesss of course someone built a big boat to save them

2020-08-23 05:01:18 UTC

Then yea

2020-08-23 05:01:22 UTC

New species

2020-08-23 05:01:31 UTC

I mean its a stretch of a hypothetical only because all plants on the planet would have died

2020-08-23 05:01:43 UTC

Starts again from bacteria

2020-08-23 05:01:53 UTC

Now keep in mind the bible claims that this happened about 4500 years ago

2020-08-23 05:01:56 UTC

Given a situation where life is forced to behave differently by its changing environment would lead to adaptation, or extinction of that species. More specifically, land mammals may have become extinct.

2020-08-23 05:01:57 UTC

Sorry

2020-08-23 05:02:03 UTC

Single celled organisms

2020-08-23 05:02:17 UTC

Yea what @JCEN said

2020-08-23 05:02:46 UTC

A lot of organisms, if they survived, would have to adapt to living and thriving off of or in water

2020-08-23 05:02:55 UTC

And since we see a plethora of land mammals today, I'd venture to say it never happened.

2020-08-23 05:03:04 UTC

He’s not saying it happened

2020-08-23 05:03:17 UTC

He’s just asking what the implications would be if it did

2020-08-23 05:03:23 UTC
