If God's word is law, then isn't a new Testament redundant? Wouldn't his laws, being able to see into the future and all, be able to be maintained throughout all time? If a change happens it means god reconsidered an idea, which is strange as he is infallable. The point being he wouldn't have to had changed any rules they would have been put in place to work no matter what.

I think that Christianity works better as a replacement to alot of behavior because it provides a community and rules and forgivness vs when a person tries to help you through your own problems and you don't want to accept that you are most likely your own problem and you need to change and its easier to blame the devil or demons and that when things go well it must be god.
