2020-08-25 18:56:36 UTC

2020-08-25 18:58:02 UTC

2020-08-25 18:58:18 UTC

2020-08-25 18:58:54 UTC

okay

2020-08-25 18:59:29 UTC

Main thing is you doing your best to get to heaven

2020-08-25 18:59:46 UTC

πŸ‘

2020-08-25 19:00:15 UTC

that requires you not to be materialistic

2020-08-25 19:08:50 UTC

Human beings aren't built for utopia.

2020-08-25 19:09:16 UTC

Read "Notes from Underground" by Dostoevsky

2020-08-25 19:10:03 UTC

we dont need utopia

2020-08-25 19:10:05 UTC

Human beings, by their very nature, need a dynamic environment that produces the maximal amount of challenge that allows competence building.

2020-08-25 19:11:42 UTC

Otherwise, as Dostoevsky points out, humans would just "sit around and eat cakes and busy themselves with the continuation of the species." At least for a couple of weeks before smashing things to oblivion just so they'd have something to talk about.

2020-08-25 19:55:58 UTC

I'm not so sure that already isn't the case today. πŸ˜†

2020-08-25 19:56:24 UTC

Seems Valid.

2020-08-25 19:58:48 UTC

Although countries like Switzerland aren't really going about destroying their land, either.

2020-08-25 20:00:18 UTC

I wonder what the correlation is with people who are well-adapted to their environment vs. the political system they are encompassed in.

2020-08-25 21:45:27 UTC

The data is in! πŸ™‚πŸ‘

2020-08-25 21:57:53 UTC

What are we looking at?

2020-08-25 22:02:31 UTC

The article doesn't explain the methods used, but is referring that these images are spread-patterns of mucous from a cough or sneeze based on the type of facial-covering worn.

2020-08-25 22:07:06 UTC

"To allay these doubts, Padmanabha Prasanna Simha, from the Indian Space Research Organisation, and Prasanna Simha Mohan Rao, from the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, experimentally visualized the flow fields of coughs under various common mouth covering scenarios. They present their findings in the journal, 'Β Physics of Fluids'". (Source : www.phys.org)

2020-08-25 22:08:11 UTC

I read the article. It just doesn't visualize very well.

2020-08-25 22:20:55 UTC

Notice the image "Surgical Mask & Hand". It appears they have taken a side-shot of each scenario. Although, I don't know the type of imaging used.

2020-08-25 22:21:20 UTC

I'm sure their article could explain better. ✌

2020-08-25 22:22:04 UTC

Oh I see what the silhouette is now

2020-08-25 22:22:07 UTC

Derp

2020-08-25 23:01:13 UTC

Its a little confusing with the n95 masks as they are designed to keep people from breathing in, but are made to be worn in contaminated zones, there isnt a piece for filtering out

2020-08-25 23:09:31 UTC

It's not so much as they are designed to keep you from breathing in as it is designed to seal the nasal and oral airway. This way, contaminants have virtually no chance of entering your body.

2020-08-25 23:09:56 UTC

Yea that's not what i meant

2020-08-25 23:10:06 UTC

What i mean is they are great for not breathing shit in

2020-08-25 23:10:13 UTC

But they breathe shit out without a filter

2020-08-25 23:11:07 UTC

I understand exactly what you mean. That is the nature of the mask itself, which is why people don't like wearing them.

2020-08-25 23:11:40 UTC

Well if were gonna make everyone wear a mask we should have it be legit and not security theatre like the damn tsa

2020-08-25 23:12:15 UTC

> Its a little confusing with the n95 masks as they are designed to keep people from breathing in,
@Killian

2020-08-25 23:12:33 UTC

Then it was a typo mb

2020-08-25 23:12:37 UTC

Meant out

2020-08-25 23:13:08 UTC

Rather long typo, wouldn't you say? Don't be dishonest.

2020-08-25 23:13:21 UTC

Can you not infer things or do you just take everything at fave valur
