Lost my job last September because of health issues. Got denied unemployment and haven't been able to find another one. Had a couple interviews that just haven't panned out. Burned through my savings and maxed out my credit cards trying to keep a roof over my head and pay the bills. Gas is cut off, phones are cut off, car insurance runs out Monday, credit cards are saying court mid-month, I'm now 3 months behind on my house payment, and just found out I'm about to be homeless unless there's some kind of miracle. Please pray for me. I have no other hope. Thank you. 😭

Do you have a church home? Many churches have funds to help the needy. If there is something in particular I can do I will do it but I live well below the poverty level myself. I do know that God has always met my needs, sometimes in very unexpected ways.

I have a question for anyone who cares to contemplate this. Is the Word of God here to unite or divide?

The Word is God is meant to reveal the character of God. It’s mean to unite the believer of it.

@Lostie_815 I think you're right about that. What I meant,however, was whether it is a uniter or divider of people. What does the Word say about itself? Check Mathew 10:34 and Hebrews 4:12.

Forgiving is hard for human beings but forgetting is nearly impossible without repentance on the part of the one bring forgiven. There is a story about a man who ran from battle (a deserter) the penalty for which was hanging. The man was languishing in prison awaiting his execution. His friend, however, took it upon himself to seek a pardon from the president. Finding the great man at a dinner party, he begged forgiveness for his friend and was so persuasive that the president wrote out a pardon on his dinner napkin. The man rushed to his friend in the prison and showed him the pardon. The man refused to accept the pardon because, he said, that can't be real, it's written on a napkin. The man was hung later that day. An inquiry was held over the matter and the ruling was this; "A pardon is not a pardon unless it's accepted as a pardon." Jesus died to pardon the sins of the whole world, but only those who accept the pardon are saved.
