Just presupposes a claim with no evidence lol
They just vaguely say wage losses are 37 billion assuming x,y,z, over an unknown period which may or may not be due to the trade deal in question. Do you have any actual studies that actually demonstrate a specific trade deal had a negative effect on overall US wages
I’ve posted several articles which one are you referring to. Also someone else can tag in if they’d like I’m sort of chilling for the night now not trying to debate. I can resume tomorrow
Also there are many studies one can find on the matter of wages and free trade and the negative consequences of such actions
Even granted you are right about the wage issue(which u arent), solving wealth inequality can be done thru tax policy and others ways, not shooting ourselves in the foot by reducing trade and reducing our overall gdp. It's about making the pie as large as possible and then deciding how to slice it up
GDP NUMBER GO UP
Using neoliberal talking points to prove why free trade = good is pretty telling bud
the GDP is an arbitrary judgement of economic health, as much of that number is just bloat being horded by a very small clique, not being reinvested into the working class or stimulating the proper function of an economy
HDI and monetary value are far more reliable
Sup

It's not necessarily neoliberal, there are plenty of other reasons to support free trade as do many libertarians and socialists. GDP is in no way arbitrary, what the hell does that even mean, gdp is "bloat used by a very small clique". If your problem is with wealth inequality, I would agree in supporting a more progressive tax structure. Also, I have no clue what you mean by the proper functions of am economy are.
While I can demonstrate that free trade benefits all sides involved by increasing productivity, increasing overall numbers of jobs, and drastically lowering cost of goods, all you can do is vaguely strawman my position
Also btw there is no evidence free trade reduces HDI
Honestly why are you here if you're clearly more economically in line with charlie kirk and his clique of fags
GG @Elegit, you just advanced to level <:ezgif179e8c5c31011:712107431416561750> 4 !
And the proper function of an economy is to ensure strength for the nation and well-being for the people
something free trade actively saps
And I was saying most """""economic growth""""" is just the personal reserves of a small clique growing larger, opposed to the people accumulating more material wealth and better living conditions

doesnt look like it
What do you define strength and well being as lol. Free trade provides well being by increasing productivity, ect. and strength by making our economy stronger. The idea that most economic growth is for only a small clique is just completely false
You want to ban me because you cant win in the marketplace of ideas?
No lol
I was just seeing if I had permissions
dummy
Ok lol all good
would have to be a major faggot to ban a guy who for all intents and purposes is prolly based but I just disagree with
but i do agree with you 100% on progressive taxation
