CHIANG RAI (CNN) - China and Australia have joined the search for 12 boys missing in a Thai cave, as divers on Sunday closed in on the spot they believe the teens are sheltering.

The international rescue operation -- which includes over 1,000 people from Thai emergency services, the U.S. Military and British cave experts -- has been ramping up its efforts since the boys and their 25-year-old soccer coach disappeared during an outing in the caves in northern Thailand last Saturday.

Divers are now closing in on the spot where they believe the missing boys are sheltering in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave system.

The elevated dry area, called Pattaya Beach, is several kilometers from the entrance of the cave.

Water from the flooded cave has receded in recent days, allowing rescue teams to gain ground, according to Chiang Rai province governor Narongsak Osatanakorn.

Oxygen tanks have been installed at 25-meter junctures for divers to use, and a water pumping machine has also being deployed, added Osatanakorn.

Heavy rains had previously hampered the rescue operation, as the caves became extremely dark and muddy.

CNN) - Mexican voters are heading to the polls Sunday in a historic election that could reshape the country.

Voters will choose a new president and make decisions on more than 18,000 other posts that are up for grabs, including a new Congress, several governorships and municipal seats, according to the Mexican Election Institute.

The election also stands to impact the country's relationship with its neighbor to the north.

Mexico's new president will have to deal with his US counterpart, President Donald Trump, along with his threats to pull out of the North American Free Trade Agreement and his calls for the construction of a border wall.

To some degree the election has become a referendum on Mexico's political elite and its economic direction, as well as the tenure of the current president, Enrique Peña Nieto, who is limited to a single six-year term. Peña Nieto has been criticized by many who say he failed to adequately deal with crime, corruption and economic inequality.

Some 89 million people are eligible to vote in Sunday's elections, and millennials and the so-called Generation Z are expected to play a key role in defining the country's future.

Younger voters have grown up surrounded by rampant corruption and drug violence. They represent nearly half of all the eligible voters and nearly 13 million of them would be voting for the first time, electoral officials said.

Authorities are looking into whether the death of a man who was shot while camping with his daughters in California is linked to previous shootings at the campsite.

Tristan Beaudette was shot once in the head on June 22 as he slept in a tent with his 2- and 4-year-old daughters at the Malibu Creek State Park, officials said.

The Los Angeles County coroner ruled his death a homicide this week.

In a statement, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said it’s looking for links between the 35-year-old’s killing and seven shootings dating to November 2016.

Ask yourself - does Huber have the ability to file across all 50 states?

Is any of this normal?

Think sealed indictments.

Think resignations of CEOs.

Think resignations of Senators.

Think resignations of Congress.

Think termination of senior FBI….

Think termination of senior DOJ….

Media BLACKOUT.

Midterms punt.

All or nothing?

Race?

Would a 2nd SC take years to complete?

Would a 2nd SC be based in corrupt DC?

Would the grand jury be members of the DC community?

What % of DC voted for HRC?

How large is Mueller’s team?

20-25?

Think 470.

The more you know.

US Rep. Maxine Waters kept up the heat on President Trump at an immigration rally Saturday in Los Angeles.

"How dare you?" said Waters, a California Democrat and frequent Trump critic. "How dare you take the babies from mothers' arms? How dare you take the children and send them all across the country into so-called detention centers?"

Waters has been warring with Trump lately amid a broader discussion of "civility" in politics, which gained some traction after White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant.

Waters then encouraged people to heckle and harass Cabinet members in public.

In response, Trump tweeted that Waters had called for "harm" to his supporters and spoke against her in rallies.

Waters denied calling for violence.

Her speech Saturday was part of the "Families Belong Together" rallies held across the country. Protesters gathered to show opposition to Trump's "zero tolerance" toward undocumented immigrants, which has separated thousands of children from their parents.

She continued, "You are putting them in cages. You are putting them in jails. And you think we're going to stand by and allow you to do that? I don't think so. Donald Trump, you think you can get away with everything, but you have gone too far when you are trying to break up families in the way that you do."

Waters likened the situation to slavery.

"As an African-American woman, I was raised on the stories about what happened on the auction block when they auctioned off Africans" and broke up families, she told listeners.

She also had caustic advice for those who have made threats against her, increasingly, she said, since she and Trump have sparred.

"If you shoot me, you better shoot straight," Waters said. "There's nothing like a wounded animal."
