Any alien technical civilisation is not going to be recognisable to us at all. Any technical culture older than a 100 000 years will use synthetic proxies/or AI to contact us
could be that "they" will "find" some ancient artifact or supposed writings that "prove" mankind came from aliens and that aliens are our real ancestors. seems like we have been preconditioned for that with the whole star wars/ET movies etc
