Furthermore, homosexuals have higher rates of mental illness, which makes sense, because a normal person isn't going to be homosexual.
I think this lends more credence to the statement that homosexuality isn't a choice, but something not being a choice doesn't make it normal.
Having anger issues isn't a choice, should we normalize rage?
I mean there is no evidence to say "its not a choice"
twin studies
We can say its suggested to be not a choice
Those I think demonstrated there was little correlation
havent read them yet
it's hormonal anyway
So you want me to prevent someone the right to marry and adopt kids because they transmit STD when they have sex? Even if we ban them from marrying and adopting, they’re still going to have sex. Taking away their right to marriage and adoption solves nothing.
however the grounds on which the APA and generally major institutions promoted "born this way" were simply on retarded science
rage is normal lol
@killsometime No, it's more about not normalizing something, which is the point people miss.
"BUT IT WILL STILL HAPPEN"
The aim is not to eliminate it completely, the aim is to reduce it
Because that always works
🤦
Same
@killsometime No, marriage is between man and woman with the goal of creating and raising healthy members of society, who will continue the cycle. Marriage is exclusive in its ability to produce life. Homosexuals simply arent monogamous most of the time and often cheat in their marriages to a ludicrous degree. As razorlaze says normalization is harmful. Adoption follows the trend.
Okay, here's an example: Prostitution @killsometime
^
We still have prostitution despite it being illegal
As is to be expected
You will never eliminate something 100%
But what criminalizing it has done, is it has significantly reduced the spread of it
or the occurrence of it
But you aren’t criminalizing gay sex
That’s not what you said
You said gay marriage and adoption
It's part of a wide range of discussion
I would go the Russian route where all public displays of homosexuality are forbidden
marriage doesn't have a set purpose in a secular society
but wouldnt do anything in private
Because it's redundant to go that far
^
@21tagtmeiern it used to
but now it's little more than an economic union
yeah well idc
yeah well, you will when you get divorced
banning it in privacy would just mean people would do it privately anyways except they'd be more careful
^
ok look i'm debated out this weekend i'll talk about this tomorrow
I’m a libertarian. Anytime the government walks into someone’s life and tells them what they are supposed to do in their private life is seen as negative. It isn’t the job of the government to forbid any consenting relationship of any kind. Its also not the responsibility of the government to pay for your treatment cause you’re sick with an STD.
Libertarianism is gay
