Detriment, it is likely to cause us to be too uniform in design and expose us to unintended consequences like a disease that exploits the generic modification
Like it's up to the individual that decides how they're going to use their "transhumanism"
Can't really determine whether or not it's detrimental because it's just too broad.
In all seriousness, as with most technological advancements, it will change us, but probably for the better.

i'd usually say it's a detriment since it's more or less non-human, I feel like making a peak and perfect baby is not really human
humans have qualities, getting rid of them is questionable
@Deleted User Hey
Hey
i think machine-minds would entail loss of personal freedoms
You’re the one who raided those servers
We'll probably lose our sense of self at the expense of becoming the physically best versions of ourselves.
wdym lol
Like would you or would you not want to walk around with some metal that can morph into virtually anything of any realistic size?
Would you want your consciousness connected to the internet somehow?
if someone hacks into it i'm fucked
I feel like some people would abuse it too, like creating a child that looks like chad
I mean like, it sounds dope on paper,
it can benefit everyone,
it could be abused in many ways if it is not properly done
but most things turn sour.
I don't think average people are willing to take that chance.
i think it will be abused, which is why we're better off without it
It would be nice to have a better phone though.
it probably will come into fruition, i'd say
and i think it's unfortunate
Human nature itself leans negative.
We'd most likely use advances in trans-humanism for evil needs.
phone-chips will be manufactured into our bodies, so outside agencies, like governments, can keep track of us at all times
yea evil needs for sure
technology is great and all, but shouldn't be worshipped to the point where we want to merge our identity and consciousness with it
I think this guy gives a good POV on transhumanism, seeing as how he is one himself.
if biomedical technology is an aspect of transhumanism, then i'm not against all aspects of transhumanism
As in he follows the philosophy of Transhumanism?
More or less.
Also that description
"Will Artificial Wombs end gender warfare" makes me a bit sceptical
Transhumanism is solely a positive.
