Not really, the dishonorable positions actually became fairly powerful industries. I mean, with the advent of new technologies, copyright law is bound to make quite a bit of money, while industrialization (and thus, a greater need for loans to obtain capital) were likewise useful.

relatively similar

2018-10-14 15:38:33 UTC

The minor differences could probably be accounted for by relative national stability and national inequality

2018-10-14 15:41:52 UTC

Also, I would like to ask... How do you account for the fact that the IQ in what we now call the developed world has risen ~15 points, a full standard deviation, within the past 100 years?

2018-10-14 15:42:37 UTC

The problem with the Asian IQ measurement is the fact they don’t account for the undeveloped areas

2018-10-14 15:43:36 UTC

Ah, that's a good point too

2018-10-14 15:45:28 UTC

Japan might be accurate though

2018-10-14 15:51:12 UTC

@SilverLining I heard outsourcing results in brain drain. As does illegal migration.

2018-10-14 17:19:44 UTC

@SilverLining Generally speaking IQ doesnt have to be set in stone over generations, if it is govorned genetically you can pressure populations into hjaving more intelligent ofspring and pushing them to the top of their IQ capacity. Usually IQ rises along with urbanization, although this is not necessarily true for all cases with exceptional classes such as aristocracy both old and modern with homeschooling and all that.

2018-10-14 17:20:20 UTC

However there is more to IQ than meets the eye and hell who knows, maybe genes can be influenced by conscious effort

2018-10-14 17:21:22 UTC

that is also na option that we seem to forget is possible, that genes may be capable of being modified, or some strange event of hyperplasia or something similar

It's called the flynn effect @SilverLining

2018-10-14 19:36:07 UTC

Basic universal rights, and mass employment opportunities

2018-10-14 19:36:16 UTC

Benefits do not solve the problem, they make it worse

2018-10-14 19:36:53 UTC

The best way to help the poor is to get rid of welfare, which keeps them locked in poverty. Eliminate minimum wage to reduce the barrier to entry, because the best way to get a better paying job is by showing you already have the skill to work. Finally, to deregulate charity, because that is what keeps small charities from forming and acting. My church was stopped from providing food to the homeless because it was home made rather than store bought and wasn't being served by someone with a food handlers license.

2018-10-14 19:37:06 UTC

^ I agree make wellfare or other such ways of income, such that they are tied to work

2018-10-14 19:37:20 UTC

otherwise it is ripe for abuse and generally it rewards being uselss

2018-10-14 19:37:27 UTC

you need to incentivise usefullness

2018-10-14 19:38:03 UTC

Of course there are those who cant, at times those who shouldnt work but those are exceptions to the rule
