My microwave is Amazon Alexa-enabled
My oven is not
Can Alexa order porn
no
Absolutely, it teaches skills to people which may qualify them for certain careers
won't it be better to be paid beforehand?
i mean if you have thousands of unpaid part time workers working on something that they probably couldn't give 2 shits about
that doesn't help anyone at all
100% yes
yes
Id say yes, simply because its competition and because it is so accessible it is viable competition for even the biggest giants that have to then actively supress the opposition
Yes, Linux and open source tech is amazing.
I personally use Firefox
So ye
I like tor and duckduckgo cuz i can actually find what im looking for
Firefox Quantum is as fast as Google
google is a censored playground
With duckduckgo
compared to DDG
and tor, cuz you know, privacy
Adobe is proof that sometimes it is worth paying for software
@Earl of Morrrrgantown eh only because there isn't a viable alternative
Yes
Obviously
Absolutely. Imagine if we were stuck with no alternatives. Nobody would ever improve.

@Pingu of course it is.
I use linux on my laptop and as a dual boot option on my desktop. Open source software lets you avoid companies that are after your data
is it good for corporations tho
hot take: Fuck corporations
>tfw microsoft owns a seat in the linux foundation
>"open source"
@SilverLining For once i agree with you
Anon has taken the fash pill
Comrade Anon
@SilverLining Im a former communist, but am no more, regardless i wish you well comrade on your path, may it lead you to the motherland.
I must ask
What led to your shift away from communism into...
a more fascistic set of beliefs
@SilverLining Im a massive advocate of the workers, but i realized communists, and the general left as a whole, don't actually care for workers. It's just elitists who want power, the left is a whore dressed as brotherly love. The Right is guilty of the same elitist issue, but to a much lesser extent.
Assuming we're talking in the context of America, not really
