The alt right isn't as fringe because the main issue there is pretty well defined: ethnic nationalism + JQ + race realism
They really just want 1950s America but are too unintelligent to create it
isn't nrx also somewhat explicit? radical traditionalism + fuck liberalism + post libertarian critique
that's fair

They want to form ethnic communities with each other, rather than run for office. They want to do torch rallies, not infiltrate the GOP and run an ethno-nationalist who can win.
that's fair
I used to be NRx. Now I'm just Rx
RX = pharmacist
For me, its radical traditionalism + fuck the enlightenment. I am actually more Keynesian, so I can't call myself post libertarian
how can you be just a reactionary without some sort of liberal revolution having begun?
i thought neoreactionary just meant you're nipping it in the bud
What's a dissident right ? See? Even I'm ignoring them. You're either Full nazi or GTFO
tbh i want to read malice's book about the "new right"
Its the alt right but 2 standard deviations higher IQ
and a much better strategy than can actually work.

Think of Patrick Casey, not Attomwaffen
It started out meaning that, Mr. Derek, but it has morphed into meaning anyone who advocates for a return of the Ancien Régime.
i see
The dissident right is really just the alt right before it was ruined by a mass influx of less intelligent people coming into it
i remember when i first heard the term "alt-right" it had nothing to do with ethnonationalism
It didn't
maybe that was just my ignorance at the time
I remember that.
but if spencer coined the term, then i don't know what else to say
It was racially aware paleocons plus reactionaries plus some other small groups
unless he just stole it and msm says he coined it
Back then, everybody had something new to say and it was actually cool
i'm too normie to know the history of it very well
anyway, back to your question
i think that the alt-right as we know it today is propped up as the face of the "new right" on purpose. it's an easy target to oversimplify, categorize, and hand-wave
The Alt Right pre 2017 wasn't as big and had people like Ann Coulter, Jared Taylor, Millennial Woes, Walt Bismarck and a ton of other people
i don't blame liberals for not knowing who de ~~jouvere~~ jouvenel* is
The whole british alt right seemed to be made up of exclusively reactionaries up until 2017
i remember having an argument with my gf's sister who is a frothing liberal and she was scared that i was in the alt-right
this was 2015 or 16
Huh
https://youtu.be/ExBcjZS_ChI This is the old alt right.
she's a CNN watcher. she was convinced even then that the alt-right was essentially a racist white suprem group
