couldn't be a SBC church

2018-07-11 23:38:18 UTC

I'm a primitive baptist @Alexander

2018-07-11 23:38:52 UTC

Are you really a PB? I was a PB.

2018-07-11 23:38:56 UTC

Yeah

2018-07-11 23:39:19 UTC

I converted out of the catholic church

2018-07-11 23:39:25 UTC

then became a sedevacantist

2018-07-11 23:39:28 UTC

then a PB

2018-07-11 23:39:40 UTC

What does your PB church teach about justification? Most PBs believe in the doctrine of justification from eternity (J from E). Have you heard of it?

2018-07-11 23:40:08 UTC

You mean like persevereance of the saints?

2018-07-11 23:40:48 UTC

No. They hold that the elect were never *not* justified. John Gill, William Eyre, Tobias Crisp, John Brine, etc.

2018-07-11 23:40:52 UTC

It's interesting

2018-07-11 23:40:58 UTC

haha

2018-07-11 23:41:08 UTC

The elect have to be justified

2018-07-11 23:41:14 UTC

by jesus christ out lord

2018-07-11 23:41:42 UTC

Because The Lord does not despise them

2018-07-11 23:42:03 UTC

@Alexander God doesn't love everyone

2018-07-11 23:42:24 UTC

psalms 5:5 is a good example

2018-07-11 23:43:04 UTC

Yeah, I agree. I've been going through some doctrinal trouble. In the past while I've been falling into dangerous heresy. So, I am going back to my KJV Baptist church that I haven't been attending in awhile.

2018-07-11 23:43:27 UTC

Do you agree with all of the points of calvanism?

2018-07-11 23:44:27 UTC

I would say that I agree with all points, except I think that the Canons of Dort (where we get TULIP from), understands limited atonement differently than most calvinists today.

I think Christ made a sufficient sacrifice for all, but an efficacious one for the elect only.

2018-07-11 23:44:51 UTC

I only agree with T, U and L

2018-07-11 23:45:22 UTC

I and P dont make sense because of Rev 3:20

2018-07-11 23:45:26 UTC
2018-07-11 23:45:33 UTC

Jesus Knocks we must answer

2018-07-11 23:46:01 UTC

I've been really struggling on P. Which part of it are you struggling with?

A. the idea that the saints will remain in faith and obedience
B. the idea that the saints will never lose their salvation

2018-07-11 23:46:23 UTC

b

2018-07-11 23:46:34 UTC

and a

2018-07-11 23:46:38 UTC

really both of them

2018-07-11 23:47:00 UTC

You have to strive to be in the elect

2018-07-11 23:47:15 UTC

you don't just get it

2018-07-11 23:47:27 UTC

Also it's not just 144,000

2018-07-11 23:47:31 UTC

There's a way you can deny the perseverance of the saints without being a heretic. You would have to do it like the Lutherans, though. They argue that, if we are united to Christ and enjoy his benefits by faith, then those who lose faith detach themselves from him. So, mostly apostasy would be the only thing that would cause one to lose salvation.

2018-07-11 23:47:38 UTC

Rev 7 just says "sealed"

2018-07-11 23:48:06 UTC

Jesus knocks we must answer

2018-07-11 23:48:08 UTC
2018-07-11 23:48:32 UTC

I haven't studied that passage much.

2018-07-11 23:50:05 UTC

Also people can reject gods message

2018-07-11 23:50:10 UTC

even if it is given by him

2018-07-11 23:50:17 UTC

thus voiding I

2018-07-11 23:50:30 UTC

The problem is most PB's are very concentrated

2018-07-11 23:50:44 UTC

Most churches are on delaware river and north florida
