I really think the red pill and general PUA material was helpful in getting me started with meeting girls

however, the severely over exaggerated beliefs and fucked up dogma almost ruined my relationship

met a really nice girl, who constantly cooked for me, was affectionate, and sung my praises

however, the whole time I was suspecting her of foul play and scrutinising her

turns out she genuinely loved me and wasn't cheating

I'm not saying I want to marry this girl, because it is only a summer fling

but I really think that although trp is true TO A DEGREE, having the core principles regurgitated by angry internet trolls over and over again really fucked up my mind

I want to go back in time and know what I know now

Thanks for sharing. We all have similar stories actually. TRP is right to a degree, but that's only because it teaches common sense things masculine role models used to teach young men. Things like, lift weights, be charming, do something important, be ambitious, etc... These were all obvious things back in the day because your grandpa, dad, and uncles all taught you them

Red Pill has become a proxy for old, tried and true wisdom and it's bought TRP a TON of credibility

It lures people in with this very good and solid knowledge, and then radicalises young men once trust has been gained

I'm grateful that I found it in the first place because it pushed me in the correct direction as a man

but I went way too far
