@zakattack04 Laffer curve. There's a sweet point where tax can be lowest and revenue can be highest. In most cases, increased tax rates will lead to more revenue.
But yeah, there's a fiscal surplus in California due to Silicon Valley. The state largesse could never be financed without the tech/film industries.
