The "Christian amendment" was rejected because it would exclude Catholics and Orthodox, because at the time "Christian" was a term for Protestants alone, while "Christendom" referred to Catholicism.

Of course it had Christain Influence but I don't believe it was based off of Christianity

America was founded on European Christain Values but many of the founding fathers thought of the US as like an Anglo Protestant Ethnostate really

They also try to claim that because Ben Franklin called a prayer before the convention that he was not a Diest. I have a feeling they think Diest and Atheist are the same thing.
