There's a hierarchy. The vast majority of the lower plebs don't know the meaning of the rituals they perform or the significance of those at the apex.
And there are different masonic orders.
There's Scottish Rite freemasonry, Rosicrucian masonry, Royal Order of Scotland.
Just disregard that the Shriners run a few charitable hospitals.

I doubt any of you have ever had any exposure to freemasonry, so until you do I don't really care what you say.
From what I can say (I took an oath to not speak about a lot of things) it upholds Christian values and is very charitable in nature.
