I was more worried about playing tag during recess back then than I was about politics
I was actively involved in the Tea Party Movement
That moment on November 2010,
when we shellacked the Democrats in Congress,
effectively putting Obama's agenda to an abrupt end,
was one of the top three political experiences of my lifetime
Oh what a time it was...
I got into politics before/after Obama got elected.
I got into politics because of Trump.
2010 was really crazy
I mean, how could you not?
Understandable.
I supported Trump in 2011 myself.
His rhetoric then was even more powerful.
Honestly would've won then.
His anti-euphemistic rhetoric was epic.
He actually said that he opposed enhanced interrogation because he supported torture.
It was his big thing. No more BS.
He was a hardline Bush-like jingoist who wanted workfare.
President Trump is actually more like 2011 Trump in a lot of ways than 2016 Trump.
He wasn't ever really isolationist. No one in American politics is isolationist.
Not even Ron Paul etc.
The reason Trump became a dove on FP is that Obama made all the wrong allies and all the wrong enemies.
The people who need a nuke live in Riyadh, not Damascus.

Yeah, I remember being butthurt over the Republicans winning congress in 2010, and that Obama wasn't giving the kind of change I was imagining
