Our issue is that we can beat out our enemies, but the democratic system makes it so that good decisions made by a leader are constantly snipped at the heels by our political enemies, that's the big advantage these countries have over us. There's a lot Trump can do executively to make these countries feel economic pain, but if countries like China try to wait it out and bleed for a bit instead of getting a way out sooner, they could do a lot of damage to Trump who's been their biggest stumbling block in centuries.
