also it is funny how he says this happened in 1984 and top gun came out in 1986....

2018-09-22 16:54:33 UTC

Democrats only want the rules to apply to Republicans, you see

2018-09-22 16:55:29 UTC

I'm no fan of Booker, but this is a lot weaker than a lot of other examples you could use

2018-09-22 16:56:23 UTC

they are feeling each other up, and when he goes a little too far, she remands him, and he stops.... that's not going to seriously sink this guy

2018-09-22 16:57:15 UTC

On the basis of principle... sure

2018-09-22 16:58:03 UTC

I mean, Keith Ellison is the #2 in charge of the DNC, and his story is damning

2018-09-22 16:58:27 UTC

Not about that though, the dems are expecting us to believe an accusation with NO evidence at all when this is more evidence, even if not damning, than what they have on kavanaugh

2018-09-22 16:59:04 UTC

Archie Parnell, the Democratic candidate for SC-05 literally struck his ex-wife with a tire iron after breaking and entering into the house she was hiding from him in

2018-09-22 17:00:12 UTC

A lot of that has to do with the media though

2018-09-22 17:00:32 UTC

The media doesn't highlight that stuff so we have to

2018-09-22 17:01:14 UTC

I'm still curious as to what the top gun part was about though lol

2018-09-22 17:03:29 UTC

yeah the media has a lot to do with this

2018-09-22 17:03:38 UTC

some Washington Post guy was wondering why Republicans weren't able to replicate "Beto-mania" with any of their candidates

2018-09-22 17:04:12 UTC

gee, idk, maybe because you people have been giving O'Rourke excessive fawning coverage, and doing none of that for any of the interesting GOP candidates?

2018-09-22 17:23:08 UTC

That accusation is the most bullshit one I've seen since Roy Moore.

2018-09-22 17:23:36 UTC

It's a commonplace tactic now for Demos as they can't think of any other way to beat Republicans.

2018-09-22 17:24:25 UTC

It worked for Roy Moore, and now it's delaying the process of getting Kavanaugh in the places where he's needed.

2018-09-22 17:24:37 UTC

Such underhanded rat tactics.

2018-09-22 17:30:33 UTC

All of the Democrat senators are

2018-09-22 17:30:43 UTC

The Roy Moore allegations were a lot more plausible than this - I think you can see the reaction of the GOP as testament to that

2018-09-22 17:30:54 UTC

Moore lost because GOP turnout cratered , tons of Republicans abandoned him

2018-09-22 17:31:27 UTC

Whenever Democrats beat up their wifes or rape women, nobody cares, but if Republicans are accused of doing it, these people will freak out

2018-09-22 17:31:27 UTC

I don't know any prominent Republican who has said they believe Ford over Kavanaugh

2018-09-22 17:49:55 UTC

No, they absolutely should. There's a reason her lawyers are throwing poison pills into the process

2018-09-22 17:50:36 UTC

if she testifies under oath to the SJC, then her statements carry criminal penalty if she is lying

2018-09-22 17:51:44 UTC

@reagent In what way?

2018-09-22 17:51:57 UTC

Both of them have no evidence of a 30-40 year allegation

2018-09-22 17:57:45 UTC

multiple women who didn't come forward themselves (but rather the media did investigating and found these women - there were rumors in Alabama that had existed for awhile regarding Moore's conduct). Moore's denial statement was also much weaker than what Kavanaugh issued - and he never submitted a statement in any venue that would carry criminal penalty if he lied. Kavanaugh has.

2018-09-22 17:58:24 UTC

Plus, it is pretty evident that he had interacted in some capacity with some of these women - whereas we don't know if Ford and Kavanaugh were ever at the same venue together

2018-09-22 17:59:51 UTC

Also, I think that some of his accusers were Republicans matters on some level as well

2018-09-22 18:04:18 UTC

It's a lot easier to abandon an incumbent for a Senator position then a nominee for the supreme court.

2018-09-22 18:05:06 UTC

Moore was absolutely clean. It was a coordinated smear job.

2018-09-22 18:05:15 UTC

Repubs can abandon one senator if it benefits the rest of them, but a SC nominee is a much bigger deal

2018-09-22 18:05:22 UTC

Same lawyer that tried to do this to Trump too, Gloria Allred. Cunt.

2018-09-22 18:05:25 UTC

Maybe, but I don't think it's fair to say these allegations are equally spurious

2018-09-22 18:05:35 UTC

Because we all know there are insiders in the DoJ for the Democrats.

2018-09-22 18:05:37 UTC

It is the same intent.

2018-09-22 18:05:48 UTC

The repubs need a comfortable majority on the supreme court
