@Red Storm (in NYC)
battleground states where Trump's base (WWC) is most prominent (percent of population):
1.) West Virginia (65.8%)
2.) Montana (58.0%)
3.) North Dakota (57.2%)
4.) Missouri (53.5%)
5.) Ohio (52.2%)

2018-02-19 00:11:28 UTC

Ohio is based

2018-02-19 00:27:16 UTC

Ohio is the largest of al those

2018-02-19 15:47:40 UTC

Trump's base

Are those pluses and minuses in comparison to Romney in 2012

2018-02-19 16:16:00 UTC

it's the margin of how Trump performed among these groups in 2016

2018-02-19 16:16:45 UTC

the percentage represents the total amount of these groups among voters, right?

2018-02-19 16:17:16 UTC

so whites are 71% of voters, then?

2018-02-19 16:18:03 UTC

correct

2018-02-19 16:19:14 UTC

if whites continue to have this high of turnout, then that has to count for something, right?

2018-02-19 16:20:23 UTC

if Whites turnout like they did in 2016, we could win every election for at least a decade

2018-02-19 16:20:48 UTC

well, we've got to make that happen, then

2018-02-19 16:40:05 UTC

whites have always turned out more in the midterms than minorities

2018-02-19 16:40:40 UTC

are there any stats for that, that could be interesting.

2018-02-19 16:48:25 UTC

say no more, fam

compared w/ the presidential elections though

2018-02-19 16:53:46 UTC

Well, that doesn't seem to be a good way of telling, white turnout among their own demographic is one thing, having data for whites among all voters, and their results in both the midterms and presidential would be what I'm looking for

2018-02-19 16:55:38 UTC

in any case, this is interesting stuff, whites will always be the major demographic group in these elections

2018-02-19 16:56:42 UTC

if we can get enough of the minority vote, maybe we'll be fine

2018-02-19 16:57:06 UTC

oh you mean data that shows what percentage white voters composed of the electorate during midterms?

2018-02-19 16:57:08 UTC

we'll never win the minority vote, but having 30-40% would be great

2018-02-19 16:57:18 UTC

yeah that's what I meant

2018-02-19 16:57:21 UTC

ok

2018-02-19 16:57:52 UTC

while i look, here's one for racial composition by state during 2016,

2018-02-19 16:58:32 UTC

>FL: Hispanics 15% of electorate

2018-02-19 16:58:35 UTC

Damn

2018-02-19 16:59:10 UTC

That's close to the black's percentages

2018-02-19 17:00:28 UTC

found it,

2018-02-19 17:00:30 UTC

apparently,

2018-02-19 17:00:51 UTC

during 2014, Whites made up 75% of the electorate nationwide

2018-02-19 17:01:15 UTC

And in 2012 and 2010?

2018-02-19 17:01:41 UTC

Notice how _Asians_ vote +1 for the GOP that year

2018-02-19 17:01:49 UTC

that gives context for a trend

2018-02-19 17:01:57 UTC

Well, shit

2018-02-19 17:02:13 UTC

A minority group voted for Rs at some point?
