Also to the flat earthers that keep trying to use the Bible as proof the earth is flat. Guys, stop, you're using a multi thousand year old book that has been translated a multitude of times as solid evidence. There is a million ways that could be jacked up, and EVERYONE believed in a flat Earth back then because EVERYONE was ignorant, not stupid, but ignorant.
Thx Jacku, I don't feel alone anymore.
Lol yeah, I feel like we'd know if it wasn't considering the massive agry lizars that used to run around, or if only 2000 years ago they all just suddenly died, there would probably still be corpses scattered around the planet (well only bones but you get it)
we are monkeys.
has anyone here seen the similarity's in creation and evolution?
instead of seeing the obvious differences why cant both be true?
God, a spirit hovering over an empty, watery void, creates the world by speaking into the darkness and calling into being light(big bang), sky, land, vegetation, and living creatures(evolution takes place here) over the course of six days(6 million/billion? years) to pronounce his works “good” (1:4). On the sixth day, God declares his intention to make a being in his “own image,” and he creates humankind (humans evolve separating us from the animals). He fashions a man out of dust(amino acids) and forms a woman out of the man’s rib. God places the two people, Adam and Eve, in the idyllic garden of Eden, encouraging them to procreate and to enjoy the created world fully, and forbidding them to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
read whats in () to understand my connections
I just think with so much more similarity's they could both be the same
and we've been arguing for no reason
just my thoughts on the matter
💯
@Pinnaplia has a point (I didnt read up before saying what I said)
I have heard people talking about that before and it is quite interesting and makes more sense in my opinion
Now I am not a christian or super religious but I still find it interesting
what came first -> evolution theory or the bible?
bible just being first testament
genesis
and to have such similaritys
with evolution
its something to think about
perhaps one day the world will know
I don’t believe in any god so I so don’t think we will ever know
Only i death we will know I guess??
@Treeling and @Pinnaplia the only problem that I can say definitively with your theories is that the context the word day ,or yom in Hebrew. The word in their language is as flexible as ours. The context states evening and morning ,and it states the number; which sorry for having to use other books for more proof; in Exodus 20:9 when the Ten Commandments are given it stated a number before the day. Jesus stated Himself “At the beginning of creation, God made them male and female.”
Mark 10:6 CEB, which makes no sense if there was billions of years between the beginning and man. This was Jesus reference to Genesis 1:27. All this to say that the day in the Creation account of the Bible is a literal 24 hour day. Now I believe in God and the Bible, but to say that your theories are correct is inaccurate. The Creation account is not proving evolution.
**Exodus 20:9 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
<9> Six days you shall labor and do all your work. ```
**Genesis 1:27 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
<27> So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. ```
@Treeling @Pinnaplia there’s more proof
@Depression2405 Well, considering that then the only way to combine the two is to acknowledge the possibility of mistranslation or mistakes in the Bible, otherwise this is too far out of my experience and religious knowledge to attempt to prove, disprove, or even comment. But I do have to say good job on the research.
Thank you
