What’s your suggestion then @[FL] ColdDay

2020-05-06 18:21:50 UTC

Finding a business that wants to open and pulling an Odessa without the holding hands up part.

2020-05-06 18:22:44 UTC

So essentially giving the media the country en mass another reason to hate us?

2020-05-06 18:23:07 UTC

You have to persuade heart and minds to accomplish anything

2020-05-06 18:23:27 UTC

Hence the standing up for local businesses part.

2020-05-06 18:24:14 UTC

“Without the holding hands up part”. So what’s your plan?

2020-05-06 18:24:47 UTC

Stand your ground.

The law.

2020-05-06 18:25:06 UTC

You shoot them they shoot back. You die and the whole movement suffers.

2020-05-06 18:26:05 UTC

The movement suffers when you to there to defend and don't defend when it needs defending

2020-05-06 18:26:17 UTC

Go*

2020-05-06 18:27:10 UTC

The boys in Odessa did it right. They have lawyers and are fighting it in court. They were wrongfully convicted and the media is focused on that. If they had murdered a few cops the headlines would be vastly different

2020-05-06 18:27:23 UTC

I am proactively searching for solutions. Don't nit pick my motives. Show me a better idea if you have one.

2020-05-06 18:28:50 UTC

Voice your opinion at local board/city hall meetings. Be active in your community and win over hearts and minds so that you slowly awaken people

2020-05-06 18:30:01 UTC

If a business wants to open then yes go stand in front with full kit but “stand your ground” is going to negative outcomes for both you and the movement as a whole. We need good press

2020-05-06 18:31:16 UTC

We need people to see we’re not gun toting psychopaths and instead just simple freedom loving Americans. The PR thread has some pamphlet templates. Print out a few 100 and hand them out when your standing in front of that business you’re protecting

2020-05-06 18:31:27 UTC

This is the part that always kills me. We have casualties on our side but even the the instance of defending oneself its somehow considered wrong for returning the favor

2020-05-06 18:33:11 UTC

That’s due to public image. Since birth people are taught that cops are the good guys that can do no wrong. We have to change that image by pointing out their fallacies and using their own system against them
