It's not that same video
Oh, they are doing another live stream, nice
Yessir
Hmm it utilizes DMR. I'm unfamiliar with that radio type
DMR is just digital
Oh you already said that
T-Rex talked about this last week, definitely something everyone should look into
http://js8call.com/
Yeah, DMR can be radio to radio, doesn't need the internet
Radio to radio encrypted texting sounds orgasmic.
Yeah, just remember they really only have the same range as any 5-10 watt radio
Damnit I can't afford to start finding more crap for my wish list lmao
😂
It never ends.... even the government has a shopping list
@Recon_5.11 you watching this live stream? LOTS of good info on here
I always like the way these guys think.
All stuff I already know, but another good one everyone needs to watch.
Oh shit... CivTAK was just publicly released
So I just bought a pair of Hesenate radios and I want one more radio that is a step above that for my own personal use so the Hesens can just kinda be thrown at people that need them if things go bad
Suggestions
The hesens are my first set so very new to comms
Are you meaning Jensen? Hensen isn't a brand I've seen
Oh, wait... just googled
So you cheaped out on baofengs, the literal cheapest radios known to man. A real baofeng would be a step up.
Not trying to hate on you at all... many don't understand there are knock offs that are all trash
So, what's your budget for a higher tier radio?
As far as I know baofengs and hesens are made in the same factory or at least that's what a friend of mine said
Probably not... baofeng has alot of knockoffs for such a cheap radio
Retevis is a step up for cheap still
Woxun
Then you get into kenwood and icom for the mid to high end
Really, baofengs are more than 99% of people will ever use
They're something to learn on and yeet into a bag if things aren't good
Looking for something a step or two up, $100?
Hopefully higher range
They all have the same range really
Feature sets and build quality is what changes
I'm up for suggestions, going to use the ones I ordered to get a feel for things
The ham radio technician test doesn't look very hard at all. Found a couple phone apps that seem to do a good job of prepping you for the test
It's not for the basic level... there are 3 levels though
