I.... I have questions and concerns
i live very far away from everything
There's almost nothing here deadly venomous.
Woah! Snake bites are dry (no venom) about 80% of the time. If the bite has venom, a tourniquet is not a good idea. Keep your heart rate down, stay relaxed, drink water and get some assistance. Snake venom is processed in the body just fine and only extreme cases need antivenom
A tourniquet will increase tissue damage greatly. The most dangerous part of a venomous bite is infection from the puncture wound.
Clean and protect the wound and keep it that way. Also, venomous snakes rarely bite anyway unless you poke them with a stick or step on them
Through the god damned bone? That's hella scary.
ive seen those things bite through broom handles and fishing poles
mean fuckers
@bravoN7 "get some assistance" is at least an hour away, and thats at the fastest.
and they're everywhere out here. one of my guys about got chewed on a few days ago just doing his job and didn't see the snake until the last second.
i completely understand that a tourniquet will increase tissue damage, and i even addressed it.
i'm speaking purely from a perspective of keeping myself breathing long enough **to** get some assistance
Damnnn thatโs why I always stay away from those guys
I was fishing once and I caught a fish and it came up and bit the fish clean in half. Only left me itโs head
yeah snapping turtles will fuck you up
A pretty damn clean cut
Marked channel as NSFW since I can see stuff being posted in here that some people might not want coworkers to accidentally see.
