They're basically shitty overpriced piston ar15's

2020-04-30 02:12:39 UTC

Nah they never fixed them shits man

2020-04-30 02:12:58 UTC

The British bullpup? There's a huge export market for military rifles...and no one is buying them

2020-04-30 02:13:15 UTC

That should say something, especially given the worldwide success of the AUG and Tavor

2020-04-30 02:13:42 UTC

Speaking of bullpups. Once I get back from my next deployment, I'm looking at that MDR

2020-04-30 02:13:46 UTC

I wouldn't carry an AUG after I seen them fail miserably in adverse conditions

2020-04-30 02:13:57 UTC

Why the MDR?

2020-04-30 02:14:05 UTC

Really? The AUG has performed great in tests from the Aussie army.

2020-04-30 02:14:15 UTC

To quote chuck p “you don’t set out to design a good gun and end with a bull pup”

2020-04-30 02:14:20 UTC

I want the MDR because I think it looks cool. Hahaha.

2020-04-30 02:14:29 UTC

Make a Halo DMR

2020-04-30 02:14:47 UTC

That's it, only reason.

2020-04-30 02:14:50 UTC

Looks cool.

2020-04-30 02:15:25 UTC

Wow, I've never heard anything about the aug other than it's the only bullpup that's actually good and incredibly robust. Even inrange likes it and they hate bullpups

2020-04-30 02:15:26 UTC

Lol go for it then. Don't expect a rugged tactical carbine though. Word from MAC and flannel daddy is theyre a range toy and maybe hunting rifle.

2020-04-30 02:15:47 UTC

Yeah, thought they are still developing it for more reliability.

2020-04-30 02:15:55 UTC

Like with the adjustable gas system.

2020-04-30 02:15:59 UTC

I mean the aussies do use them. But they militaries using something is not the same as an individual

2020-04-30 02:16:07 UTC

Inrange put the AUG through the mud test and it died

2020-04-30 02:16:12 UTC

I've heard the mdr was only ever meant to be a range toy

2020-04-30 02:16:19 UTC

I don't have experience with the AUG but I have a ton with the Tavor and X95 in actual military settings and the Aug is absolutely not the only good bullpup

2020-04-30 02:16:40 UTC

The MDR won't be a boog rifle by any means, haha. I just like the look, that's about it.

2020-04-30 02:16:54 UTC

MDR was built to be a precision gun, which usually have a different requirement for reliability and maintenance

2020-04-30 02:16:59 UTC

Yeah only real bad thing I've heard about the tavor/x95 is the trigger but i think geissele makes one

2020-04-30 02:17:11 UTC

I think I might build another AR as well. I already have 3... but this one will be built strictly around being a reliable igloo stick.

2020-04-30 02:17:16 UTC

Its not precision either. A 2 MOA gun according to most reports.

2020-04-30 02:17:44 UTC

With a lot of guns, it's not so much that they're bad, as much as the ar-15 is good

2020-04-30 02:17:45 UTC

I said built to be 😉

2020-04-30 02:17:49 UTC

Incredibly good

2020-04-30 02:17:56 UTC

I'm thinking... 18" barrel maybe. As I already have a 16" and 20"

2020-04-30 02:18:15 UTC

13.9 p&w?

2020-04-30 02:18:17 UTC

Eh 18 and 20 are so close together

2020-04-30 02:18:22 UTC

^

2020-04-30 02:18:30 UTC

I have a 11.5 as well. And a 7"

2020-04-30 02:18:36 UTC

Nods

2020-04-30 02:18:44 UTC

26" ar500 destroyer

2020-04-30 02:19:07 UTC

X3

2020-04-30 02:19:09 UTC

Well, the main thing is, my 20" is a thinner profile barrel. It's light, and really nice. But I'm thinking I was something with a little more beef for sustained fire.

2020-04-30 02:19:29 UTC

Fightlite?

2020-04-30 02:19:31 UTC

Just get an RPK or a M249 then

2020-04-30 02:19:33 UTC

It's the 20" Faxon Gunner's Profile Barrel in 1:8
