airsoft *stuff* can be good for training. Going and playing airsoft is not
If needed to head out with gear, you can practically carry just a rifle and pistol on you huh
Hurts my heart not to bring the rest of the goods
Dry fire real guns. Shoot real guns. Or buy the 22 LR version of your gun
Next build a 22lr bolt action AR 💪 lol
Dedicated 22lr AR’s are like 400bucks
M&P sports were on sale for 360 yesterday
Would the kali key that turns a 556 AR into a bolt gun work on the CMMG 22lr bolt🧐
Uhhh maybe?
Yea I want to buy the 22lr SW to be a fun silencer host
My dad had one of those with a silencerco on it, sweet way to train
Depends on who you're playing with. Pickup games can teach you a few things about aggression of action but I've had a few private games under instruction of a couple of rangers and that was something else
But yeah I think i might go with a bolt gun and occasionally upgrade it. I'm not exactly made of money, but i want something serviceable that will fit my purpose
If you already have a fighting rifle, that seems like a reasonable decision
Oh wait I know you do
Yeah I've got my 11.5 ultra tough doorkicker and 16" lightweight recce build
I think tikkas are nicer than Remington’s out of the box, but the aftermarket and gunsmithing support is something to consider
What’s your budget
Definitely considering upgrades down the road. Going out and dropping several thousand isn't in the budget, but grabbing a high quality barrel or other component every month or two is doable
On a budget I’ve heard the RUGER precision rifles are decent .
Gotcha. I would probably get a Remington 700 5R or AAC-SD in a regular stock and upgrade from there
I've heard three rpr is good but there's not as much room for upgrading
RPRs and savage 110 tacs are nice
Howa precision is also super nice
@TacticalBeard man I want to love the RPR but I handled one and it was...underwhelming
Was it
If you want a budget bolt you can upgrade the ruger Americans have a good after market
And definitely a ton lighter than the RPR
And the new ones take AICS mags
Yeah, I mean I’ve read that they hold okay groups, but nothing particularly impressive. The bolt would bind if there was any lateral pressure
Ah kk
My american is sub moa with shitty Malaysian brass
I need to do a true accuracy test with good ammo and see if I can get it closer
I borrowed an American from my uncle for a hunting trip once, seemed like a pretty nice rifle
For 300 bucks idk if you can beat it
Savages axis IIs are nice but they don’t feel as good to me
And ruger stepped up with after market, you can get upgraded handles, bolt groups, add a different trigger if you want, barrels and stocks
Magpul and Boyd’s both make stocks for the older ones to take AICS mags and the new ones come factory with them
Mine will hit plates all day long at 600, and there are guys taking the 308 stock rugers out to 1000
I wouldn't trust those rifles for 1k shots reliably, hahaha. But 600 and less, I think they hold up.
