No I mean the lower receiver with the pic rail where the buffer tube would go
Ooooh
I know it was listed but didn’t think they were out yet
Oh drop as in release, I’m a fuckin idiot lmao
I know there’s a pic adapter that will screw into the receiver extension
Yeah that’s probably how I’d do it personally because of the price of the brownells receiver
I’m waiting until they make a few more calibers
I’d like to see a 8 or 10” in 300
Mmmm maybe Dan will make a direct adapter from AR receiver extension to ACR stock 🤔
Don’t put fantasy’s like that into my head
ACR stock everything
@Crye_Salesman not a piston fan?
I’m eh about pistons. There aren’t too many proven platforms for the civilian world to build. Yes, there are many battle proven piston guns, but quite a few of those run a pretty price tag. A well maintained DI AR should perform just as well.
There is no actual advantage to using pistons.
There are good piston guns, but they aren’t good *because* they use pistons.
I was gonna say that but I was afraid someone was gonna beat my ass
I don’t believe there is any reason to go piston. In the AR platform, especially.
I think if you want an effective difference, AKs are a good choice.
Of course, if you choose an AK, I would suggest accurizing it.
lol
It just werks
Don't pistons naturally run cleaner?
No they just get dirty somewhere else
Its much easier to field strip and clean an ak
Imho
Meh. Then I won't bother if there's no advantage.
I mean. It’s virtually the exact same thing as field stripping an AR.
And any higher level of maintenance than that is *astronomically* easier on the AR
@Bogs_Bunny it’s not that you should avoid pistons, it’s just that it’s not the game changer some people think it is
It costs more I think.
Most countries went with pistons because iirc they deemed DI as a weak link not because of dependability but AR gas tubes tended to melt before piston guns will
For obvious reasons as the gas tube was designed to fail before the damn gun
Carbon fiber gas tube
let’s do it
Piston guns are heavier, so that's +4 attack on bayonet charges 🤷♂️
If you’re running your AR hot enough to melt gas tubes in 2020 somethings wrong
Or things have gotten entirely out of hand
The zombies have breached the perimeter.
I love my wasr even though it has ugly plastic furniture and there's nothing you all can do about it
I’m an AK guy but the arguments of DI vs piston are still using Vietnam era data
I don't like wood furniture. Lol.
