Don't do the reverse lol 223 cannot shoot 556

2020-05-06 17:02:27 UTC

You ever go out to that range in superior out by the train tracks?

2020-05-06 17:02:43 UTC

Heard if you wanna shoot 223 that you should probably get a beefier barrel

2020-05-06 17:02:45 UTC

@squidsoup0 never been to a range to be honest.

2020-05-06 17:03:03 UTC

where do you go shooting?

2020-05-06 17:03:37 UTC

.223 Wylde barrels will shoot both no problems

2020-05-06 17:03:44 UTC

@squidsoup0 don't own a gun yet. Only shooting I've done is at my aunt's ranch over in Montana

2020-05-06 17:03:51 UTC

5.56 barrels will do 223 but it’s not explicitly designed to

2020-05-06 17:04:12 UTC

99% of ARs now are 5.56 or wylde barrels that I’ve come across

2020-05-06 17:04:14 UTC

oh ok. Ive been going out on state forest land during this lockdown crap since the ranges are closed but its a long drive

2020-05-06 17:04:29 UTC

and my car cant take much more of those logging roads..

2020-05-06 17:05:25 UTC

I'm somewhat familiar with Wylde. Is there any trade-off when using 556 ammo in it?

2020-05-06 17:05:50 UTC

I think its

2020-05-06 17:06:40 UTC

its like 5.56 with less freebore

2020-05-06 17:07:15 UTC

you can shoot 5.56 and 223 in it though

2020-05-06 17:07:49 UTC

I mean is there any downside or is it just a superior design?

2020-05-06 17:08:39 UTC

No not really

2020-05-06 17:09:31 UTC

What’s a fair price to offer on a used 1-4 trijicon accupoint?

2020-05-06 17:09:37 UTC

I've noticed they run a bit more expensive than a 556, but if it's more versatile I'll run it.

2020-05-06 17:10:49 UTC

What are they new like 8-900?

2020-05-06 17:11:12 UTC

If it’s not beat up my personal rule is 2/3-3/4 price of new if it’s in good condition

2020-05-06 17:11:31 UTC

@TacticalBeard around 550

2020-05-06 17:15:00 UTC

I dont think paying extra for 223wylde would be worth it unless you are an absolutely amazing shot and are shooting from a totally supported bench rest. just get 5.56 unless the wylde barrel costs the same.

2020-05-06 17:25:22 UTC

.223 Wylde maintains the accuracy of .223, but can handle the pressure of 5.56.

2020-05-06 17:53:30 UTC

When do y'all expect the poor shops to drop prices back to normal? This whole $500 for a $200 barrel shit is getting ridiculous....

2020-05-06 18:02:13 UTC

Next year

2020-05-06 18:02:42 UTC

*cries in 2012 memories*

2020-05-06 18:18:14 UTC

The more I think about it, the more I lean towards piston operated being the superior choice for post apocalypse lol.

2020-05-06 18:28:09 UTC

Oh, we’re doing this today. Okay

2020-05-06 18:31:12 UTC

T91 upper

2020-05-06 18:31:41 UTC

Unless you want bufferless, I think the t91 still needs a buffer

2020-05-06 18:43:22 UTC

Wild.

2020-05-06 18:44:13 UTC

Didn’t know the SR556 was piston driven

2020-05-06 18:44:29 UTC

I’ll have to look into them

2020-05-06 18:44:45 UTC

Yeah, they’re supposed to be aight as far as poor boy HK416’s go. There was an upper on tacswap for like 500 the other day

2020-05-06 18:45:18 UTC

I recommended the t91 as a budget one, what’s the brn-180 going for about 1k?

2020-05-06 18:45:51 UTC

700bucks for the upper

2020-05-06 18:46:11 UTC

That’s not bad then, they drop their pic rail lower yet?

2020-05-06 18:46:40 UTC

🤨 no it’s that tall because of the piston

2020-05-06 18:47:00 UTC

416 is about the same. MCX is even taller IIRC
