Looks overpriced
Personally I wouldn’t get 224 valk
But savage has a great warranty program
Oh wait, it's 224, not 556. Idk what those go for price wise
224 Valk is ammo type I'm assuming. Sounds hard to find
Not hard to find but expensive, easy to mistake for 5.56 and is a varmit round by design
Really good for pushing that caliber to its limits accuracy and range wise but not a fighting gun
If it's your first AR I'd suggest something more mainstream. 556, .308, etc
I was going for a 223. Figured it would be easier to find.
5.56 rifles can safely use .223 ammo, but not the other way around.
hey @Bogs_Bunny what area of MN you in?
@squidsoup0 Duluth
no shit
me too
@squidsoup0 lol yeah I saw in our state room
5.56 can shoot 223? Holy shit. That's game changing information
Oh thats right haha. Theres so many rooms here i forget which ones i said things in
Don't do the reverse lol 223 cannot shoot 556
You ever go out to that range in superior out by the train tracks?
Heard if you wanna shoot 223 that you should probably get a beefier barrel
where do you go shooting?
.223 Wylde barrels will shoot both no problems
@squidsoup0 don't own a gun yet. Only shooting I've done is at my aunt's ranch over in Montana
5.56 barrels will do 223 but it’s not explicitly designed to
99% of ARs now are 5.56 or wylde barrels that I’ve come across
oh ok. Ive been going out on state forest land during this lockdown crap since the ranges are closed but its a long drive
and my car cant take much more of those logging roads..
I'm somewhat familiar with Wylde. Is there any trade-off when using 556 ammo in it?
I think its
its like 5.56 with less freebore
you can shoot 5.56 and 223 in it though
I mean is there any downside or is it just a superior design?
No not really
What’s a fair price to offer on a used 1-4 trijicon accupoint?
I've noticed they run a bit more expensive than a 556, but if it's more versatile I'll run it.
What are they new like 8-900?
If it’s not beat up my personal rule is 2/3-3/4 price of new if it’s in good condition
@TacticalBeard around 550
I dont think paying extra for 223wylde would be worth it unless you are an absolutely amazing shot and are shooting from a totally supported bench rest. just get 5.56 unless the wylde barrel costs the same.
